"At least you got your car back," Alex said with a smile as she made herself comfortable in the passenger seat while Eric drove.
"Yes, at least," Eric said in a bitter tone.
He was angry, fuming, with his fingers tightly wrapped around the steering wheel, he needed all the composure in him to ignore the tempting feeling of transferring his aggression on Alex.
It wasn't her fault that his father saw him as nothing but a toy to do the dirty work. But it was completely her fault that he walked to his father, got rejected, and then offered to handle the Nest.
Still, he tried his best to swallow all the anger and just drive in silence. Ignoring the blabbering girl beside him.
"Here," He handed her a gun after neatly parking the car.
"Why?" She shot him glares.
"This is no place for weaklings. Stand your ground if you're coming in," He said then hopped out of the car, leaving her to decide whether or not to follow him.
