I collected the paper from her hands and opened it.
It really was from the court.
"I thought you were out getting the problem fixed." Her voice cracked.
"Mom," I moved forward, embracing her.
"Please, don't be sad. Everything would be alright," I said, even though deep down I had no idea if this could be fixed. How do I prove that Taylor set me up?
With these thoughts weighing me down, I made my way to my room and sank in my bed, lost in thought.
I raised my phone that was now ringing. It was Kent calling.
"Hello, Kent,"
"Ady, he's being released." Kent said through the phone.
I felt a bit of warmth at his words.
What is wrong with me?
Daven is the main person who got me arrested and I'm happy that he's free.
"Good. What about Jane?" I asked. I couldn't help but feel a little sympathy for the girl.
"She's alright. I took her home." Kent said.
