Isabel POV
Flashback
The Lawson mansion was quiet as only the sound of the soft patter of the rain was heard. I sat on the chair beside baby Esmeralda's cradle rocking it to get her to sleep. Mr and Mrs Lawson had told me that there were going to come in a bit late that night. They still had work at the office to do. They pleaded with me to stay with the baby till they are back which I agreed to.
My alert senses peaked when I heard the front door open. That must be Mr and Mrs Lawson. I took one last look at baby Esmeralda and she was fast asleep. I picked up my bag and tiptoed out of the room trying not to make a single noise. When I got downstairs i was met with Mr. Lawson sitting in a corner of the living room.
" Welcome back sir, how about Mrs. Lawson." I asked hoping I would get her extra hour pay that night.
