A figure."There was someone," I said, voice low as I leaned closer. "Just beyond the gate."Isabel was already at my side, her voice tight. "Who? Can you make them out?"My eyes narrowed, tracking the blurred shape. "They're walking away now. Too dark to make out details."Her next question made my stomach twist.
