"Violet," He muttered, and her eyes widened. Just as she was able to talk, he turned and started walking away.
"Wait. Please" She said, following him, but he didn't look back, not even once.
She tried following him, but he soon got mixed up with the crowd, and she couldn't see him any longer.
She stopped in the middle of the crowd, looking around, but he was nowhere to be found.
"Fuck! I lost him" She cursed, frustration creeping into her voice.

Derek stared at Violet's picture on the screen in front of him, and he chuckled.
"Cute and daring" He muttered.
"Does she really think I can't expose her pictures?" He scoffed.
He looked at the 'send' button, at the bottom right corner of the screen, and he smirked.
Just one click, and her pictures would be uploaded on the internet, for all to see.
He reached for the mouse, moving the cursor to the 'send' icon, and he clicked on it. But it didn't work. He frowned slightly, and clicked on it again, but still nothing happened.
"Is the mouse faulty?"
He disconnected the mouse, and used his hand to move the cursor on the laptop, but it remained the same.
Then suddenly the laptop went black. "What the hell" He frowned. Then the screen lit up again, with a white background and some words written on it. "Don't you dare mess with her. You can try me" The message said simply, and confusion etched in Derek's face.
His system has been hacked.
What the fuck. He was a computer genius himself, and only an exception hacker, can hack into his system.
He cursed, as he tried to upload it on another laptop, but the same message popped up. And no matter what he did to clear the message, it didn't work.
"Shit!"

Violet stared at the wall absentmindedly. Ever since she returned from the store, she had been thinking about the blackmailer, wishing she saw his face.
"Scorpion" She muttered. "What does he want from me? Why did he appear? Somehow, she felt meeting him wasn't a coincidence."
She was still thinking, when she heard a feminine voice.
"Adrian! Adrian, are you home?" The voice called, and Violet frowned, going downstairs.
Sasha stopped in her tracks, her expression turning into a scowl, as she stared at Violet, descending down the stairs.
"What are you doing here!" She yelled, enraged to see Violet in a casual outfit, in Adrian's home.
"I should be asking you that" Violet replied.
"Are you out of your mind? Or...am I the one out of my mind. I think I'm seeing things" She scoffed.
And just then, Adrian came in. His hair a bit disheveled. He frowned, when he saw Sasha.
"You didn't tell me you were back" He said to her.
She had been out of the country, for some weeks.
"Adrian, what's this thing doing in your home?" She asked, in a fit of rage. "I came here to give you a surprise visit, only for me to meet your stupid secretary, dressed casually in your house. How did she know your passcode?"
"Ohh Violet? She lives here" Adrian answered casually, his voice calm, in contrast to the raging tantrum Sasha was throwing.
"What? She lives where?"
"Violet lives here, Sasha. And you should also speak to her, respectfully from now on. No one dared treats my wife like that" He said, and Sasha's face crumpled.
"Y.. your what?" She asked, her gaze dashing between Adrian, and Violet, who seemed to be enjoying the show.
"You heard me Sasha. I won't take it lightly if you talk to my wife without respect."
"What the fuck are you talking about! Wife??? What are you talking about?" She asked, almost stumbling on a chair bedside her
"Why are you throwing a fit? I got married to Violet. She's my wife now. Is that too complicated to understand?" Adrian asked. He had expected Sasha to be confused about the whole marriage situation and he understands, but why is she being excessive.
Sasha shook her head, "No, Adrian. Tell me you are lying"
"I'm really not"He shrugged.
"What!!!" She growled. "But...but you hate women, Adrian. You dislike women's touch...so what's this? Married?" She asked, her voice breaking.
"Sorry I didn't tell you. I wanted you to come back to Australia first" Adrian said.
"Sorry? Sorry for not telling me? How could you!" She yelled. "How could you get married? Even if you had to...what about me??" She broke into tears, and Adrian frowned. "You?"
"Yes. Me. What about me?? Didn't you consider me at all? Am I a log of wood to you? Answer me!"
Violet watched the whole scenario quietly, and she sighed. "It's just a contract marriage. There's no feelings attached. So, you don't have to get all worked up, Sasha" She wanted to say, but she knew she couldn't. So why not just enjoy the whole drama? Sasha had always hated her anyways.
"Sasha, what are you talking about?" Adrian asked, confused.
"Really? Are you going to keep acting oblivious? Are you going to keep acting like you don't know I'm in love with you!" She exclaimed, and Adrian paused. "In love with me? You are just my best friend. What's all this about?"
"Just your best friend? You've never looked at me as a woman before. You have never noticed my affection for you. I love you so much, Adrian and even though you were oblivious. I thought...I thought I had a chance, since I was the only female you were comfortable with.
One day, he would notice. That's what I've always told myself. But...you got married? Just like that? What about me???" She cried, and Adrian swept his hair to the back, with his hand.
He had been so busy at work, and had looked forward to having a nice rest. He wasn't expecting to meet such drama. And, what's this about Sasha loving him? He scoffed.
"Sasha, I might not have realized that you had feelings for me. But even if I did, nothing would have changed. I can only see you as a friend, nothing more. And I would really advise you to get rid of those feelings for me. It would do you more harm than good" He said, and left for his room.
"Aargh" Sasha yelled. She turned to Violet, her eyes bloodshot. "It's you isn't it? I've always knew you were no good. From his secretary to his wife? You took Adrian from me, and you think you would live peacefully? You bitch!
Ohh Violet. You don't know what you've gotten yourself into. I don't want to know whether he's married or if he's going to reciprocate my love for him.
But one thing I'm going to make sure to do is to get rid of you. You don't know the power and influence I wield, do you?
If you did, you won't have stepped into my territory.
No one, I repeat. No one, dares take what is mine.
