The cultist proclaimed this with whatever energy they had left, and the next moment, they spasmed uncontrollably. Blood oozed from their mouth as their tongue fell out—revealing the lengths they would go to in order to preserve whatever information they had.
"Tch! You want to die? Fine!" Knight Leon tossed the cultist to the ground and crushed their head with his heel.
It took only one hit for their entire face to turn into thick paste.
'Oooh! Scary!' Luca hid his smile, interchanging glances between the Knight and the corpse.
He was relieved that no information was exchanged, since that meant Leon couldn't fact-check anything he said. Of course, this only served to anger the Knight more, but that wasn't Luca's problem.
He instead cast his gaze around and smiled wryly.
'Looks like I'm the only soldier who survived. What a mess this place has become…'
