Luca knelt before his Lord.
His body trembled slightly, feeling the weight of numerous gazes on him. He had always been a nobody, so getting used to so much attention was no easy task.
He kept his head bowed, trying his best to hide the surprised and confused look on his face. He had honestly not expected to hear his name when it came to the rewards that Lord Mors was handing out.
'Not only did I not do anything useful during the siege, I even ran and hid like a coward…'
The only notable thing he did was to refuse the offer of the Bishop, and that was simply out of fear towards Lord Mors and not due to anything one might consider valiant.
If switched, he knew what Lord Mors would do to him once he took down the Cathars. His betrayal would not be forgiven, and he would probably suffer a fate worse than death. On the opposite end of things, even if he died by defying the Bishop, he had a chance at revival by the Lord of the Dead.
