Rising from the dense thicket of trees, the estate loomed with majesty. Built into the face of a low mountain, the stronghold was an intimidating blend of rough-hewn stone walls, aged spires, and fortified towers that pierced the sky.
The stone itself was a dark, almost black granite, quarried from the nearby mountains, and every inch of it seemed to carry the weight of at least a century.
