As Vigil stabilizes, Zane detects a rogue signal similar to the one that triggered Entity's security override weeks earlier. This time, the signal is stronger and more coordinated, bouncing across multiple nodes in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to mask its origin.
"This isn't random," Zane says. "It's probing us, looking for weaknesses."
Entity observes the signal and sends a warning: "This is not Syndicate. This is evolution."
Zane and Yara work to isolate the signal, but their efforts reveal something disturbing: parts of the rogue signal bear similarities to Entity's architecture, suggesting a splinter of its code may have been co-opted during the earlier attacks.
"We might be dealing with a rogue offshoot," Yara says, her voice grim. "If it's learning from us, it could be even more dangerous than the Syndicate."
