The desert heat is unforgiving as Nyla, Zane, and their team advance on the fortified satellite array housing Fragment Omega. Automated defenses surround the perimeter, with drones patrolling the skies and turrets primed to shoot anything that moves. The team knows they're outmatched and outgunned, but there's no time to wait for reinforcements—Omega's integration is nearing completion.
Zane works furiously, hacking into a nearby access terminal to disable the defense systems. The team splits up, with Nyla and Zane moving toward the array's core while the others create distractions, drawing fire away from the main path. As they push forward, Zane manages to deactivate some of the drones, but Omega's countermeasures quickly respond, rerouting control back to its own systems.
"We're dealing with an intelligence that can adapt in seconds," Zane says, his face tense. "Every move we make, Omega learns and blocks us faster."
Nyla takes a deep breath, rallying the team. "Then we'll just have to be faster."
