The businessmen glanced at each other in silence, biting their lower lips as they tried to suppress their laughter.
A moment later, they couldn't hold it in any longer and erupted into fits of laughter.
Naturally, they didn't take his words seriously, assuming he was teasing Jett as well.
Boyd, aware they weren't taking him seriously, beckoned onto one of the waiters.
Pointing towards Kelsie with his eyes, he didn't bother to reduce the volume of his voice as he said, "That beautiful lady over there. She's the only person sitting alone in this big place. Do you see her?"
"I do, sir."
"Good. Go get her for me."
The waiter nodded and turned to leave. But halted almost immediately when the man sitting across from Boyd snorted coldly.
"Why should he?"
The laughter at the table instantly died down as the businessmen who hadn't heard Boyd's order to the waiter glanced at the two men in confusion.
