Daniel jumped, spurning around in panic, but sighed in relief when he saw Eric Lance.
Placing a hand on his chest to calm his throbbing heart, he eyed him sternly, "How many times have I told you not to sneak up on me like that?"
Eric thinned his lips, lowering his eyes to the floor in apology. "Forgive me. When I saw you mumbling to yourself, I thought there was something wrong."
Daniel raised a suspicious brow, closing the distance between them.
"Is that so? I was just mumbling incoherently? You didn't get to hear a word I said?"
Eric nodded.
"I was worried something was wrong and came to check up on you. I apologize if I scared you."
Daniel first exhaled again in relief before waving his hand at him dismissively.
"It's fine. I'm okay. I just have a lot of things keeping me on edge these days. Don't tell my brother anything."
However, the man didn't reply prompting Daniel to yank him by the shoulder.
