Kate was sitting at her desk in her home office. Philip had helped her set up her own business. She provided Admin services for companies all from the comfort of her own home. She could clock her own hours, and remain at home when the baby came. She was coming along nicely but her nights were filled with thoughts and dreams of Mike. She loved that idiot with all her heart and she wished things had gone differently.
She heard her cell ping and when she looked at it, her heart skipped several beats as she put her hand on her tummy. It was Mike.
"Well well, if it isn't Mike Richard Kilian." "Kate." His tone was ice-cold for some reason.
"Attitude so early in the conversation? Tsk tsk, try again Mr. Kilian." "Is the baby mine or Philips?" Mike was angry. Kate gasped. She felt hurt.
"Wow, I think this is where I hang up and ask you to never call me again." "I loved you Kate, why did you have to be with him?" "He was MY HUSBAND Mike, I cheated on him with YOU! Don't you understand what we did?"
"OF COURSE, I FUCKING DO! Answer me, is the baby mine or his? I just need to know so I can move on with my life."
"The baby is yours Mike, we can have a paternity test when he or she is born." "I want to believe you Kate, I couldn't take it if the child were his."
"He has always treated me well, even after he found out about us. He helped me get my business set up, took care of my parents' hospital bills and he made a few investments for me as well. Where the HELL were you? What did you do? You left me!"
"I'm sorry Kate, I had to clear my head." "What do you want from me Mike, be honest."
"I need you Kate, you and our baby. I want to get married and spend the rest of my life with you. I'm sorry I hurt you with my actions, please forgive me."
"You need to go to your brother, and ask him to forgive you, you and I are now tied together by this baby, but he is the only brother you have.. Do that and I will be willing to start fresh with you."
"Will you come with me? We can fly down to the island tomorrow and be back by weekend."
"I have a few jobs to finish up, so I will have to take my laptop with me." "I will come get you in the morning."
"Uh Mike, how do you know where I am?"
"I always know Kate." Mike said in a sexy voice that flooded Kate's body with an unrecognizable heat.
"I see." She cleared her throat.
"See you in the morning Kate, I love you." He hung up.
"That went better than I expected." Kate said to herself as she got up to pack. The next morning, Kate took her bag and set it down by the front door. As she moved away the doorbell rang. She turned to open it and there he was.
Her heart jumped at the sight of him. He and Philip were almost identical but a few years apart. Good looking and sexy as hell but Mike had that natural gentility that Philip didn't while Philip had the persona of a grandma bear protecting all her family and she would kill everyone in her path. The only person Philip was gentle with, was Maddy and rightly so. Maddy was a good woman.
"Jesus Kate." Mike said as he impulsively grabbed himself and squeezed. "Mike you naughty man." Kate whispered, glancing down at his hand. "I'm sorry, I didn't come here for that." Mike groaned as he closed his eyes.
"Well first thing you need to do is come in and close the door, can't have my neighbors bear witness to such a scene. Mike hurried in and closed the door behind him. He opened his eyes and looked at the woman he loved.
"How are you? How is the pregnancy coming along?" He gazed at her stomach, now well rounded.
"Great, the morning sickness is gone, and my appetite is healthy, thanks for asking."
Mike suddenly felt useless. He lowered his head and shoved his hand in his pocket.
"Mike." Kate whispered. "Yeah." He replied.
"If you swear to me that you still love me with all your heart, I will be a good woman to you, give you a family, share everything with you."
Mike suddenly dropped to his knees and bowed his head. He pulled his hand from his pocket and held out a small red box in his hand.
"Mike?" Kate whispered his name in shock.
"I Mike Richard Kilian, love you with all my heart, will you marry me Kate? Make me an honest man, love me and our child for eternity?"
"Oh Mike." Kate said as she approached him.
She took his hands and gently pulled him from the floor. Looking into his eyes, she saw love, sincerity, need, lust, she saw the man she fell in love with and slowly nodded. "Is that a yes?" Mike asked, hope flaring in his heart. "Yes, I will marry you." Mike's mood turned in an instant.
"Where is your bedroom?" He asked as he lifted her into his arms. "Through that door." In a few steps he pushed the slightly opened door with his foot, took them in and kicked it shut. He gently lay her on the bed and covered her body with his, taking care not to press on her belly.
"I love you Kate, forgive me for everything I encouraged you to do, I promise I will be a good husband to you and a proper father to our baby. Can I make love to you now?" Mike didn't realize all the while he was talking, Kate was unbuttoning his shirt. When he finished, she yanked it off him.
"Stop talking baby, I need you like right now. It's been too long."
Mike and Kate made love until they were both exhausted. It was only when his cell alarmed, he realize they had an hour and a half to make their flight. "Baby, we fell asleep, we need to clean up and get to the airport."
"Okay, tell my body that." Kate groaned. Mike was an experienced lover but his urgency and need was like never before. He made love to her several times, not ever feeling satisfied.
As they arrived at the airport, Mike parked and called his assistant to come get the car. They barely made it to check in when the flight was called. They went through Customs and Immigration and boarded the plane. Canada was a great place to live but Kate had always loved island life, it was different than the rest of the world. She would take her man to see his brother and make amends. She knew Philip loved Mike and all it would take was a sincere apology and all would be well.
At Naton Corp
Philip sat in his office when his cell beeped. It was Kate. "Hey Kate is everything okay? How is my niece?" Kate laughed softly.
"Philip, you fool, we are fine. I… umm have a favor to ask." "He found you and you want to bring him home to see me." "Yes."
Philip sighed. He loved his brother but the betrayal was a lot for him to swallow. Was he willing to forgive?
"Please Philip, do this for me. He loves you and wants to be a family again. He proposed and I said yes but on the condition that he come to you and make things right."
Philip glanced at Maddy who was smiling sweetly at him. He got hard instantly and groaned.
"Is Maddy there with you Philip?" "Yes, how did you know?"
"Oh please brother-in-law, she is the only woman who you make those sounds for." Kate laughed and glanced at Mike who was watching videos on his tablet.
Philip laughed as well. Squeezing himself.
"It's true. Look, I'm at the office, when you touch down call me and let's have dinner."
"OH Philip, thank you, this means so much to me. I will see you soon. We are about to take off."
"Have a safe flight." Philip said as he hung up and wheeled slowly over to the love of his life.
"Philip." Maddy said as she felt him lift her head by her chin. "I need you."
"Okay." Maddy knew her man, he never shied away when it came to her. He showed her his love every second of the day. She didn't want to make love but when she heard his voice, her body betrayed her.
Philip surprised her though; he didn't want sex. He had… other ideas. He knew she was uncomfortable this late in her pregnancy and she was only doing it because he wanted to. So, he took her into his lounge and guided her to the bed.
"Stand there, don't move." Philip said as he started removing her dress. Her belly was big and it made him even harder to know that he did this, his baby was moving and cooking inside her. He felt a surge of pride.
When she was naked, he pushed her to lie down on the bed and he got himself out of the chair. He positioned himself between her legs as he kissed her tummy. She giggled and rubbed his head softly. She didn't expect that he would move further down and when he kissed her core, she almost burst into flames.
"Philip." She struggled to control her arousal, but he was relentless. He spread her legs and used his mouth and tongue to drive her mad. Within minutes, he heard her voice.
"Philip, I'm c*ming."
It broke her, she felt dizzy, wrung out and boneless. She tried to look at Philip and she felt the bed shake. Then… she felt a warm liquid on her leg. "Philip?"
"I'm here baby, just give me a minute."
Philip rolled over on to his back and tried to control his breathing. He needed that badly.
"Are you okay? You didn't finish with me; did I do something wrong?" Maddy asked worriedly. He had never done this before and she was feeling insecure.
"Shhhhh baby, I'm fine." Philip moved up to lay next to her, reaching over to cup her worried face.
"You only did this for me, I didn't want to make you more uncomfortable." "Did I show any sign of rejection? I didn't mean to."
"Hey, it's okay honey, you are carrying our precious cargo, I was being a needy greedy bastard but I took one look at you and I couldn't help it. I'm fine trust me, just needed to let off some steam." "Who upset you?"
"Kate called, she and Mike are back together, getting married, and they are on a flight heading here. I invited them to dinner."
"You still love your brother, and this is a good thing. I love you for being who you are." She scooted over to kiss his lips and with that kiss, she felt her own body ignite again. She climbed on top of him and the next thing she knew, she was screaming his name again. This time, she slumped uncomfortably on top of him and went fast asleep. Philip chuckled and helped her to a better position. He got some warm water from the bathroom and took his time wiping her off, then he dried her and covered her with a blanket and turned the A/C on.
Philip cleaned himself up, put on some fresh clothes and headed back to his office, closing the door on his way. He would let her sleep as long as she needed.
He called Andre. "Boss?"
"Mike and Kate are meeting us for dinner later, but Maddy is really exhausted, order some food around 6 and have it brought here. Head home and grab a nice dress for Maddy, she forgot to bring one over this morning. Our guests should arrive around 5, get them from the airport and bring them here."
"Done. Are you okay?" Andre asked when she heard Philip's tone. She could tell he wasn't really up to meeting his brother.
"No, but not to worry, I will work it out in my head before they get here." "Okay, I will leave now."
Andre pulled up the car to Dalton Corp and parked in Philp's designated space. She sat in the car as Kate and Mike got out. Then she decided she would accompany them.
"Is there a problem Andre?" Mike asked.
"Yeah, but the boss said he would sort it out." Andre made no effort to hide her disappointment in Mike.
"Look, I made mistakes okay, but I am trying to make up for them, don't kick me in the nuts, you wear some heavy boots." Mike said as he pulled Kate to his side.
"Mike, Kate, listen carefully. I love Philip, he is my best friend and brother, if you aren't going to be sincere when you see him, don't go in there. He is happy now and if you do anything to interfere with that, I can make all three of you disappear, ya feel me?" Andre walked toward the elevator and pressed the button. She wouldn't kill them, especially an unborn child but she could make their lives miserable.
"Andre." Kate said. "What Kate?"
"How long did you know before you told him?"
"Six long fucking months, does that make you feel better?" Kate gasped.
"You told him when he found Maddy." Kate said knowingly.
"Yes. I knew about you two before Philip came into the picture, I didn't expect you to say yes when he asked you to get married. You could have told him; he never would have asked. You and Maddy are a few weeks difference in pregnancy but I knew your child wasn't Philip's."
"Oh." Kate said.
"We are here." Andre said as she stepped through the elevator doors and headed to Philip's office.
As they stepped in, Kate looked around for Maddy. "Where's my pregnant buddy?"
"Asleep in the lounge, dinner will be here soon but we can start without her." Philip said as he looked up at Mike.
"Mike." "Philip." "I'm sorry." They both said at the same time and laughed.
"It was my fault; I should have come clean about Kate when you asked her to get married. She really needed the money and I didn't think we would last. I love her, always did and when …" Philip raised his hand to stop him.
"Do you love her Mike? I mean truly love her and are willing to accept my baby inside her?"
Mike flinched as he stepped back. Then, he straightened his shoulders and stepped forward as he looked at Kate who had her head down.
"Yes, I will love her and the baby."
"Then my brother, let's eat and be happy. I appreciate you coming here to apologize. I was wrong to send you away without listening, but I was angry. Now, that is the past and your baby, and mine will have play dates and grow up just like we did."
"No Philip, not like we did, you sacrificed everything to make sure I ate and went to school, I betrayed you and you still love me. Our children will be better than us and carry on the legacy you created for us. Thank you brother." Mike stuck out his hand, Philip grabbed it and pulled him down for a hug as he always did.
"Wow, never thought I would see this but I am happy." It was Maddy at the doorway of the lounge. She had quietly gotten ready while they were chatting.
"Maddy, my pregnant buddy." The ladies greeted and made fun of themselves that they could only sideways hug.
"Wait, I just realized Kate calls you her pregnant buddy, you two are friends?"
"Geeze baby, how late are you with that breadcrumb. When Philip came home that night he found us, we talked, like never before, we understood each other, where we went wrong. When I met Maddy, my heart was at peace, I had my baby, and he had Maddy. Seeing the two of them made me realize he would never be mine and I was not sad. She and I talked almost every day, I got so many things off my mind that I could never tell you or Philip. So yes, we are definitely friends."
Philip held out his hand and Maddy took it, sitting in his lap. He groaned softly. "Jesus Philip, could you hide and do that?" Kate laughed. Maddy blushed. "What am I missing?" Mike asked.
Kate looked at Philip for permission. Philip nodded.
"Mike, the night we got caught, Philip had just met Maddy, the reason he sought her out was because of his reaction to her. He always reacts to her that way and it's how everyone knows, is that he lets out a groan."
"You mean…"
"Yes Mike, the thing you asked Kate, I was never aroused with her but one look at Maddy and it was all over. I knew I had to let Kate go, she suffered enough at my side."
"Alright, enough of this horny talk, I am hungry. Andre?" Maddy said, starting to feel Philip grow under her, she squirmed a bit and he pulsated against her. God this man was insatiable, and she loved it.
"Everything is set up in your lounge Maddy." "Great, let's go."
