Wei stood his ground, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails dug into his palms. Across the room, Kai loomed, the sinister shadows coiling around him like living entities. They twisted and shifted, their dark tendrils licking at the edges of the dimly lit shop.
Mei pressed herself against Wei's back, her breath shallow. "Wei... if you're going to fight him, you need a plan. The shadows—"
"I know," Wei interrupted, his voice low but firm. His eyes never left Kai. "The shadows are his strength. But they can also be his weakness."
Kai chuckled, his voice echoing unnaturally. "Bold of you to think you understand my power, Wei. Do you really believe you can stop me? I am a higher up in the shadow sect while You're just a pawn, like the rest of them." Kai said referring to the shadows moving around.
