Wei sat in silence, staring at the dim light filtering through the infirmary windows. He followed after Mei lan and Ming shortly after talking to jiro and Kai. The passage of time felt strange, almost meaningless after what he had just experienced in the Abyss. He could still feel its cold, lingering touch, even here in the real world. A part of him knew he had brought Mei Lan back, but at what cost?
Ming walked out from the infirmary main doors alone, her footsteps light but purposeful. She walked up to Wei, her expression serious. "She's resting now. The doctors say there's nothing physically wrong with her… but that doesn't explain her memory loss and they'll want to watch her for a while."
Wei's jaw tightened. "The Abyss doesn't play by normal rules. Memories, time, even reality… it distorts everything. Whatever happened down there, it's not over."
Ming hesitated, her gaze softening. "And what about you? How are you holding up?"
