[Talent Activated]
[Sub Talent Activated]
[Night Mist Steps]
Isabella and the others downed HP potions to restore their condition, then strode forward right beside Aaron.
Those who had doubted Aaron's ability could only be stunned with great widened eyes watching Aaron have a soul servant.
"How can he have a soul servant? Did he kill anyone?" asked James, confused when asking Isabella.
"I have no idea. He never said anything about it," Isabella replied.
Jack darted forward, summoning a thick, watery white mist that was difficult for the two wolf monsters to break through. Like what Aaron remembered, this sub-talent was a technique to attack the enemy from the mist's depths.
The servant only had three seconds to disappear again. Aaron was confident Jack the Ripper would not be easy to defeat.
Isabella and Hilda glanced aside, catching sight of Aaron's sweaty-looking face. The consumption of a large amount of MP might have affected his fit. Isabella wouldn't let Aaron defeat just because he was exhausted.
"You can focus on defeating them, Aaron. Let me recover your MP," Isabella explained.
"Thank you, Ms. Isabella."
Isabella stretched out both hands to Aaron, bringing up a red magic circle that kept rotating clockwise to summon flower petals from her talent.
[Magic Activated]
[Magic Talent: Vortex of Eternal Rose Recoverer]
[MP -350]
Dozens of red rose petals gathered at Aaron's location and flew around him by releasing tiny pollen that entered Aaron's pores. It not only recovered MP, but its pollen was also useful for restoring Aaron's health.
[MP +30]
[MP +60]
[MP +120]
Steadily, the strength of Isabella's MP recovery restored the amount of Aaron's MP -his original MP. For Additional MP, Isabella's magic power had no impact at all.
Only Aerith could increase Aaron's Additional MP, and the current amount wasn't really worrying. At least Aaron could keep it again for urgent situations.
[Damage +450]
[Critical +2534]
[Damage +671]
[Damage +320]
[Critical +2790]
[Critical +2600]
[6 Combos! Awesome!]
"What a terrible amount of damage."
"I took back my words. He really deserves to have such a large amount of CP."
"Tch! Why didn't he use it earlier? The monster's attack almost killed us all," James complained.
Isabella narrowed her eyes. Although Aaron was already well supplied with rose pollen, but the woman saw Aaron's sweat increasingly flooding his body.
'Even though I'm restoring his health, why does he still look exhausted?' Isabella asked.
Jack the Ripper continued to land multiple attacks on the wolf monster. Aaron watched as their HP bars started to turn yellow, a clear sign that the talent attacks from Jack the Ripper's servants were effective against them.
In the end, one final attack from Jack the Ripper's dagger slashed the throats of both monsters as their HP bars became critical.
Aaron got a pop-up notification that said the amount of critical damage the two wolf monsters had suffered.
Since the last hit was done by Jack the Ripper, all the EXP and TP, as well as the items and money dropped by the two monsters, belonged to Aaron completely.
Isabella didn't mind that. From the beginning, she said that whoever managed to get the last hit had the right to have all those items.
[EXP +39064]
[TP +19532]
[DING! Congratulations on leveling up]
[Level 29]
[Item Acquired:]
[5 EXP Crystals Lv.4]
[3 MP Crystals Lv.2]
[4 HP Potion]
[2 Rank A Talent Slips]
[1 Wolf Fur Black Coat Set]
[2350 RL]
The items obtained by Aaron after defeating the monster are clearly displayed. His level was 29 right now, which made him still stuck in tier 2 mage as a Student Mage.
The highest level in the group belongs to Isabella, which was level 33. Hilda was level 31, and Aaron was third. The rest are at levels 27 and 28.
"2 Rank A Talent Slips? What's that?" asked Aaron.
"It's an item you can exchange for a new talent at A-rank. You can only exchange it in the city guild," Isabella replied.
Aaron nodded. He thought that his 2 A-rank talent slips might be useful for improving his abilities or Jack the Ripper's servant abilities.
Although the last hit was gotten by Aaron, since everyone else participated in the battle, they got their EXP amount, although it depended on how much damage they dealt to the monster.
Servant Jack the Ripper showed up before Aaron, finished with his duties. Aaron nodded, he instructed Jack the Ripper to return to his body. Slowly, he disappeared in a white mist that looked blown by the wind.
Hilda invited them all to continue their journey. Isabella and Aaron said yes. With seven hours left before the Dark Pillar Tower closed, Hilda told them it would be terrible if they didn't defeat the floor boss before time ran out.
The woman mentioned that many adventurers were trapped in the Dark Pillar due to their carelessness in managing time. They were forced to be stuck in this place until the Dark Pillar reopened a few days later.
"Being stuck here is a nightmare. At least we must defeat the floor boss an hour before time runs out," explained Hilda.
"But if we can defeat the floor boss, will we get access to the second floor? Isn't that the safest route?" Aaron asked.
"True, but to travel between floors, the portal is only opened twice a week, every Monday and Friday," said Hilda.
'I don't know what day it is. Time goes by so vaguely." complained Aaron.
"Hilda is right. If we manage to defeat the floor boss, then we have to wait until Friday to return to the first floor, while the exit route from the first floor is much faster," Isabella explained.
Hilda nodded, agreeing with Isabella's explanation. The best option for them was to return to the exit of the dark pillar maze on the first floor and wait until Friday at the Night Liberator's base if they wanted to go up to the second floor.
"After all, the condition of the second floor is almost the same as the first one. There is no city or anything there. Just wasteland and dark, poisonous forest."
Their steps were halted again when Hilda saw a cyclops monster holding a sharp spiked mace. Luckily for them, since it was only a 30th-level monster, it could only detect enemies through its vision.
[Monster Details:]
[Monster: Green Cyclops]
[Level: 30]
[HP: 33000/33000]
[MP: 35000/35000]
[Element: Earth]
"We should avoid it to save time," said Hilda.
"No!" Isabella insisted.
"We have to defeat it. That monster will give us a lot of EXP and valuable items."
"But we're running out of time. Our main objective is to attack the floor boss."
"Take it easy. I'll get it done quickly. You don't mind either, do you?" asked Isabella sideways, looking at Aaron.
Aaron shook his head. He knew they all needed a lot of EXP, defeating monsters being the only option for them to level up in Dark Pillar.
"I don't mind if you can do it fast," said Aaron.
"Leave it to me. It'll be dead in less than an hour."
