Kris stared at the majestic horse before him, mesmerized by its fiery appearance.
it reminded him on his past life, I used to ride horses back when I was doing missions in the Middle East.
We had to; the terrain was ungodly.
He turned to Chansey, who was riding the flaming horse.
"I'm alright, Chansey. Thank you for the thought, but you can go ahead of us."
Chansey pouted, her lower lip jutting out.
"Why? Don't you want to finish the course faster?"
Kris pointed at Necho and Thursday. "I'm with my boys right now, so I want to spend time with them."
"Aww, you're so kind to your friends, Kris. Don't you want to spend time with me too? I'm your friend, right?" Chansey said, flashing an alluring smile.
Belle's anger boiled over. "Hey, bitch!? Aren't you disrupting something?"
She glared at Chansey, unable to hide her fury any longer.
"Kris already told you to go ahead. You don't want him to know what you really are, do you? So why don't you fuck off?"
Chansey rolled her eyes, unfazed.
"Alright, alright… See you around, Kris. Your owner doesn't want me around you." She blew him a playful kiss before urging her Data Beast forward to the next course.
As the command left her lips, Tide Hound followed Belle's instructions without hesitation. The water began to swell, rising like a tidal wave, shimmering under the sun's rays.
Tidy braced itself, muscles taut and focused, readying to unleash a powerful Water Cannon.
Belle gripped tightly onto Tide Hound, feeling the rush of water surround them.
As the water reached its peak, Tidy unleashed the Water Cannon, a torrent of liquid that propelled them forward with incredible force.
They soared through the air, heading straight toward Kris and his friends.
Meanwhile, Selina, not to be outdone, followed Kris's instruction diligently.
"Luminara, use Light Manipulation!" she commanded, her voice steady. The butterfly-like Data Beast glowed brightly, its wings shimmering with ethereal light as it created an aura around them.
"Now, Light Speed!" With a flash, they teleported to Kris's location, arriving in a burst of luminescence.
As Belle and Selina landed gracefully beside Kris, they were greeted by his warm smile.
Their hearts skipped a beat, an undeniable rush of admiration washing over them.
They couldn't lie to themselves; Kris, in that moment, was incredibly tempting.
A warm blush crept onto their cheeks as they stole glances at him, shyness filling the air.
"Good job, you two! Let's proceed to the last one! You guys ready?" Kris encouraged, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
He then turned to Thursday and Necho, who were poised for the final jump.
He had already laid out the plan for this last challenge.
The final obstacle was two towering walls with a narrow space between them, a test of agility and teamwork.
With Kris leading the charge, he initiated the climb, his movements fluid and precise, like a ninja navigating the walls with grace.
He leaped from one wall to the other, slowly making his way to the top, the wind catching his hair and sending it flying.
Belle and Selina watched in awe, their eyes wide as they admired Kris's performance. His movement were electrifying, they couldn't believe that a human could do something like that.
Next, Necho and Thursday followed suit, utilizing their Data Beasts to gain height.
With the help of Pyro's flames and the grace of their own creatures, they made their ascent, finally reaching the top where Kris awaited.
They celebrated their success with a triumphant fist bump.
"Hey Kris, I'm sorry you left us here again," Selina said, her cheeks flushing as she realized how she had relied on him for help once more.
The embarrassment was palpable, yet it only gave her a more good perspective about kris.
"Oh? You guys just do what you did earlier," Kris instructed, his tone calm and confident.
"For Belle and her Tide Hound, instead of firing the Water Cannon behind you, aim it below you. Then, at the perfect timing, fire a second one at the back, and I'll catch you from here."
His reassuring words were meant to instill confidence, and he smiled at her, radiating encouragement.
Belle, hearing Kris's last sentence, felt her heart race.
'Omaygash, omaygash, omaygash... Babe, you don't just say something like that to a woman! what if i fall.. inlove even deeper? will you take responsibilty?'
The sudden rush of emotions made her cheeks flush hot, and she struggled to find her voice.
"Belle? Are you listening?" Kris asked, tilting his head slightly, concern etched across his features.
"Huh? What? Did I miss something?" she stammered, flustered and trying to regain her composure. She couldn't shake off the warmth spreading through her chest at the way Kris looked at her.
"As I said, can you do it now? So we can move on to the next part of the obstacle," Kris repeated sincerely, his eyes encouraging her.
Belle nodded, determined to prove herself.
"Okay, I will do that now!" she replied, her voice steadier than she felt.
With renewed focus, she turned to Tidy.
"Alright, let's do this!" she commanded. Tidy wagged its tail, ready to follow her lead.
They executed the plan, firing the Water Cannon straight down, the powerful blast propelling them into the air like a rocket.
As they soared, Belle felt exhilarated, her heart pounding in rhythm with the rush of adrenaline as they ascended.
At the perfect moment, Tidy unleashed the second Water Cannon, sending them rocketing forward and straight toward Kris.
He stood ready, arms outstretched, a beacon of safety and strength.
In an instant, they collided—Kris caught Belle effortlessly in his embrace.
Their eyes met, and for Belle, time seemed to freeze.
She was lost in the depths of Kris's amber gaze, feeling as if his eyes held the entire universe within them.
The moment felt surreal, electric, and impossibly intimate.
Without thinking, she closed her eyes and leaned in, driven by an overwhelming urge to bridge the space between them with a kiss.
"Belle? Are you okay?" Kris asked, his voice laced with confusion as he sensed her intentions.
He shifted slightly, unsure of what was happening.
Like a voice crack, everything fell apart in that moment.
Belle's heart raced as she opened her eyes, met with Kris's bewildered gaze.
Reality came rushing back, and a wave of embarrassment washed over her.
What had she just done?
Feeling a surge of panic, she instinctively pushed Kris away, wanting to create distance between them.
But in her haste, she almost stumbled, barely maintaining her balance as Kris's grip on her hips tightened, keeping her from falling.
"Belle, calm down. I'm not letting you go if you go wild again," Kris said, his tone filled with concern, brows furrowing slightly.
His grip was steady, a reassuring anchor in the whirlwind of her emotions.
Belle met his eyes again, but this time she quickly averted her gaze, flustered.
'Stop looking at me! Why are you soooo...' Her thoughts spiraled out of control, racing faster than her heart.
Caught in a maelstrom of embarrassment and confusion, she struggled to process her feelings.
"Forget it, I'm okay," she muttered under her breath, the words barely escaping her lips.
The anxiety swirling within her felt almost suffocating.
Kris slowly let go of her, glancing at her one more time before turning his attention to Selina.
"It's your turn, Selina. It should be easier for you," he instructed, his voice steady and encouraging.
Unaware of the moment that had just unfolded above her, Selina nodded at Kris, focusing intently on the spot where they would be teleporting.
"Luminara, let's do it again," she said, determination shining in her eyes.
Luminara flapped its wings, illuminating the two of them in a radiant glow. With a flash of light, they disappeared, reappearing in front of Kris. However, they landed a bit further away than intended.
As Selina looked down, panic washed over her; she realized she hadn't reached the intended spot.
Suddenly, a hand shot out and grasped her arm just as she was about to slip off the edge.
"Pull me up, quick, please!" she exclaimed, glancing up to see who was holding her. It was a handsome boy with an orange hair and beautiful amber eyes, It was Kris.
"Hold on, Selina!" Kris urged, his voice strained with effort.
He slowly pulled her up, the intensity of the moment amplifying the adrenaline coursing through both of them.
"I'm sorry, Selina. I didn't know the light speed ability had limitations," he said, kneeling beside her as she lay on the ground, trying to catch her breath.
She could feel her heart racing, the lingering fear of what had just happened washing over her.
For a brief moment, she thought everything was over.
Kris looked at her with genuine concern, his brow furrowed. "Are you okay?"
Selina nodded, still processing the thrill of the experience and the unexpected rush of emotions.
"Yeah, I think so," she replied, her voice steadier now. "Just... a little surprised."
