Chapter 54 - [54] Three Mile Island, Magneto The Scene Man

Pennsylvania, Three Mile Island.

This island houses the most advanced nuclear reactor in the U.S. military. At its center lies a massive military base.

At this moment, above the military base, a supersonic plane approached at a speed of Mach 6.

The incredible speed triggered the base's air defense systems, which began issuing shrill alarms. Two fighter jets quickly scrambled from the base, heading to intercept the unidentified aircraft.

"Magneto, this is up to you," Brian said from inside the supersonic plane. Without hesitation, he opened the cockpit door, pulling Raven Darkhölme with him as he jumped out.

Buzz.

As they descended, Brian spread the four wings behind him, controlling their descent as he held Raven securely in his arms.

"Fuck, not this again! when we get back, I'm making Beast Hank install an autopilot system in this fighter," Magneto grumbled, glaring at the now-empty cockpit.

Magneto stretched out his hands, and the cockpit door opened instantly under the pull of his magnetic field. Floating out of the plane with ease, Magneto steadied himself in the air, standing atop the supersonic plane.

The craft, which had begun to spiral out of control, stabilized once again under Magneto's precise magnetic control.

Standing atop the supersonic plane, Magneto's clothes billowed in the wind, exuding a commanding presence.

"What the hell am I looking at?" one of the fighter pilots blurted over his radio as he observed the surreal scene.

Instinctively, he pressed the missile launch button.

Whoosh.

A missile launched from under the fighter jet, hurtling toward Magneto.

Facing the incoming attack, Magneto remained calm. With a simple raise of his hand, the missile halted mid-air.

Then, under the horrified gaze of the fighter pilot, the missile reversed course, accelerating back toward its origin.

Boom.

The fighter jet exploded in a fiery burst.

The second fighter pilot, gripped by fear, quickly attempted to call for backup.

"We are under attack, I repeat, we...."

Before he could finish, Magneto pointed his right hand toward the plane. With a clench of his fist, the aircraft crumpled into a mass of twisted metal, crashing to the ground.

The fiery explosions in the sky alerted the entire military base. Fully armed special forces units scrambled into action. Soldiers deployed on the ground, anti-aircraft systems came online, and various land and air weaponry locked onto Magneto's position in the sky.

Magneto, floating above, surveyed the military's response with a growing sense of excitement.

Following Brian's lead, Magneto leaped off the supersonic plane, mimicking his teammate's daring move.

As he plummeted toward the ground, Magneto stretched out his arms. Instantly, the metal scattered across the military base was drawn into his magnetic field, creating a powerful force that counteracted his descent.

Under the stunned gaze of the assembled army, Magneto landed gracefully.

"The army?"

Magneto stood unflinchingly before the massed ranks of thousands of soldiers.

Without a trace of fear, he raised his right hand. Instantly, every gun in the soldiers' hands was yanked into the air by his magnetic power.

The weapons turned as if guided by an unseen force, their muzzles now aimed at their former owners.

Da-da-da.

A relentless storm of bullets rained down upon the soldiers.

In mere moments, the once well-equipped and orderly military force was thrown into chaos, suffering devastating casualties.

"It's a Mutant!"

"He's a Mutant!"

Panicked cries erupted among the ranks as the surviving soldiers stared at Magneto in terror.

"Fire! Open fire immediately!"

Tanks rolled onto the battlefield with haste, their massive cannons swiveling into position. The ground trembled as one shell after another was fired in rapid succession.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

The shells hurtled toward Magneto with deafening roars.

Facing the heavy firepower weapons of humans.

Magneto just sneered.

He, Magneto, is a level 4 Mutant.

The more metal he has, the stronger he is.

Magneto opened his right hand, and all the shells exploded in the air.

Groups of flames erupted in the air, spreading chaos across the battlefield.

Magneto turned his gaze to the remaining soldiers and then to the massive cooling tower behind them, its towering structure looming like a menacing sentinel.

The dramatic scene seemed to inspire Magneto as he stretched his hands toward the cooling tower.

Rumble.

With his magnetic ability fully unleashed, the massive cooling tower began to crack and split in the middle, revealing its dense steel reinforcements. The sheer power radiating from Magneto caused the ground to tremble.

Slowly, Magneto raised his hands, and the severed halves of the cooling tower lifted into the air, suspended by his magnetic field.

The immense force of the magnetic field caused Magneto himself to levitate, giving him an imposing, almost god-like presence as he floated above the chaos.

From his aerial vantage point, Magneto looked down at the panicked soldiers with a cold smile.

The colossal halves of the cooling tower began moving toward the heart of the military base at Three Mile Island.

"Fuck, he's going to use the cooling tower to destroy the base!"

"Is this... is this even humanly possible?"

"Run! Run for your lives!"

The military base devolved into utter chaos as soldiers scrambled to escape the impending destruction.

Even the base's highest-ranking commander, realizing the futility of resistance, boarded his private plane and fled the scene in desperation.

"He is worthy of being a scene man, and his every move is a big scene."

Brian, standing in front of the military base alongside Raven, tilted his head upward and observed Magneto's theatrics with a wry grin. The sight of Magneto lifting the enormous cooling tower earned his genuine admiration.

Brian and Raven had landed a few minutes earlier, but Brian had made no move to intervene. He stood back, letting Magneto handle everything.

The reason why he brought Magneto was just to have a free thug.

How could he bother to fight?

And the facts proved that Magneto did not disappoint Brian's expectations.

As a Level 4 Mutant, Magneto's power was akin to a natural disaster. He obliterated an entire modern army with ease, leaving behind nothing but destruction in his wake.

Yet, Magneto wasn't content with his victory. He ensured his actions were a spectacle, escalating the chaos to unprecedented levels.

While panic spread throughout the military base, Brian and Raven made their way inside effortlessly.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?"

Despite the mayhem, a handful of soldiers remained steadfast in their duty. Upon seeing Brian and Raven, they raised their weapons, prepared to defend the base.

Brian simply raised his hand, his expression indifferent.

With a surge of Psychokinesis, the soldiers were crushed into a mist of blood before they could even pull the trigger.

The path ahead was clear. Anyone who dared to stand in their way was obliterated with ease.

Using an elevator in the heart of the base, Brian and Raven descended 100 meters underground to the Trask Industrial Laboratory.

As soon as they stepped into the lab, their ears were assaulted by a cacophony of frantic exclamations.

"Oh my God, what kind of species is a Mutant? This is a gift from God! Has humanity been abandoned by Him?"

The voice of a white-coated scientist echoed through the sterile lab. His tone was filled with a mix of awe and mania.

"I need more! I want more Mutants! Their blood, cerebrospinal fluid, flesh, and even brain tissue... Give me everything!"

The scientist was full of excitement. While talking on a satellite phone, he kept asking for various organs of Mutants.

Raven's eyelids twitched as she watched the white-coated scientist ramble on. His obsessive excitement at the expense of Mutants was sickening. She could no longer contain her anger and strode toward him.

"Mutant?"

The scientist's eyes lit up as he noticed Raven shifting into her Mystique form. Instead of showing fear, his face displayed an unnerving curiosity, as if he were examining a lab specimen.

Raven's patience snapped.

Without hesitation, she spun around with remarkable flexibility, her movements fluid and precise. A whip-like kick sent the scientist hurtling into the wall behind him.

Bang.

The sheer force of her kick left the scientist groaning in pain before he slumped unconscious.

Raven glared coldly at the crumpled figure, ready to finish him off for his cruelty.

But..

"Hold on, Raven."
