Chapter 6 - Reactions!

Within just minutes of Neuvillette leaving, the ripples of his return had instantaneously spread across the entire Supernatural world, and anyone with even a sliver of influence had already become aware of his presence.

From the magnificent gilded halls of Olympus to the vast emptiness of the Dimensional Gap, his actions during the Underworld's Rating Game were known and felt by all.

The chief deities and leaders of every pantheon, Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Hindu, and more, were all gripped by a shared sense of dread and awe. Each pantheon had its own response, yet there was one commonality:

~SHOCK!~

In the golden halls of Mount Olympus, a meeting of the highest importance was being held, the air was thick with tension and thought as all of the gods sat in stunned silence and worry.

Zeus, the mighty King of the Gods, had slammed his fist in frustration, his eyes burning with unease. Although he didn't actually think Neuvillette had died, as such a powerful person wouldn't die randomly, but he certainly didn't expect such an overbearing return.

Neuvillette's return, and the way he acted, had threatened to unravel the delicate situation of the Supernatural World that had built over the past 20 years.

There were dozens, if not hundreds of events that were simply swept under the rug using the influence of the Gods, and now, there was a chance all those events could come to light.

If all those events did come to light, the potential negative ramifications would be absolutely disastrous, and no-one wanted that, as it could potentially threaten to destroy the temporary peace built on the basis of lies and lack of information.

In Asgard, the Norse gods gathered in the great halls of Valhalla, their stoic leader Odin deep in thought as whispers of Neuvillette's power stirred among the warriors.

From Vishnu in the Hindu pantheon to Amaterasu in the Shinto realm, all were drawn to the same conclusion: Neuvillette, the Chief Ludex of the Court of Fatui, had returned to bring Justice to all of those who deserved it.

From their perspective, Neuvillette's actions in the Underworld wasn't just dishing out Justice, it was also a warning, a warning to all the various influential Pantheons and Organizations of his authority and a stark reminder that no-one could escape the reach of his Justice.

Within the endless expanse of the Dimensional Gap, a figure stood motionless, her presence vast yet serene. Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God, had been watching the events unfold, her expression as unreadable as ever.

"He returns," Ophis said softly to herself, her voice barely a whisper in the infinite void, "His power... it's still the same. Unchanging, so mysterious."

Beside her, Great Red floated lazily, his dragonic eyes gleaming with amusement as he took in the scenes of what had occurred, "Neuvillette is always a showstopper, isn't he? I remember when the Heavenly Dragons got a beating for encroaching on his territory...good times."

"His power is always so interesting. You'll stay for now Baka Red, I need to go meet him." Ophis said, and in a flash, she vanished, leaving Great Red to continue moving around the vast expanse of the Dimensional Gap all by himself.

At the Occult Research Club in Kuoh Academy, Rias Gremory sat at her desk, her crimson hair glowing faintly in the dim light of the room.

In front of her was a tablet, which was continuously replaying the events that occurred in the Underworld on loop. Within moments of the events occurring, the news and videos of what had occurred had spread all across the Supernatural world.

Rias couldn't tell how many times she watched it, but it was a-lot, and her expression was one of concern and tension as her peerage was gathered around her, equally as tense as her.

"Neuvillette... I didn't think I'd ever hear that name in such a situation," Rias muttered under her breath. "He's been silent for so long."

Kiba, standing nearby, frowned as he watched the screen replay the scene of Neuvillette branding the Devils,"His power is terrifying," he said, his voice low as his body trembled, remembering how he felt, "I've never seen anyone stand against Sirzechs-sama like that."

Akeno's usual playful demeanor was replaced by a serious expression. "It's not just his power," she said softly. "It's his authority. Even the Great Satans couldn't defy him."

"We're currently on the right side of the law, so nothing to worry about. Just be cautious. Koneko, remember to continue observing Issei, he's the key to escaping my Engagement."

Koneko nodded and continued biting down on her biscuits, chewing softly as the peerage eventually went their own ways for the night.

The room was dimly lit, the only sound being the soft hum of magic as Grayfia Lucifuge worked to heal the burn on Sirzechs' arm. The normally calm and composed Lucifer was uncharacteristically tense, his face a mixture of frustration and pain.

Serafall Leviathan sat in the corner, her usual bubbly demeanor subdued as she was deep in thought, her fingers unconsciously drumming anxiously against her chair's armrest all the while Akuja Beelzebub paced arounnd the room.

"This is... bad," Serafall finally muttered, breaking the heavy silence. "I've never seen Neuvillette like that before."

Sirzechs winced as Grayfia applied a cooling spell to his scorched arm, "No one has, he's very mysterious for a reason, we've only heard rumors of his power" he said through gritted teeth. "His power is beyond anything we've ever faced."

Ajuka stopped pacing and turned to face the group. "It's not just his power. It's his authority. He invoked the Abyss Accords. He branded half the arena with that mark... and now they all owe him judgment."

Serafall looked up, her usual playful tone completely absent. "But what can we do? If we go against him, it'll start a war, but there's no way we can allow that many demons to be imprisoned, our race is already endangered. It'll cause a Demon Civil War."

Sirzechs sighed, flexing his arm carefully as the pain subsided, "Neuvillette doesn't want war. He wants justice. But we've let things slide for too long. The Nekomata massacre, the attack on his Enforcer... we failed to uphold the order."

Ajuka nodded grimly. "And now we're paying the price. But we can't let him control the narrative entirely. If we're seen as weak, the Underworld will fall into chaos. We need to act swiftly."

Grayfia, who had been silent up until now, finally spoke, her voice calm but laced with concern as she tended to her husband's injuries, "Sirzechs-sama, Neuvillette gave us 48 hours. We must find the ones responsible for the Nekomata massacre and the attack on his Enforcer."

Sirzechs nodded, his expression hardening. "We'll find them. But even if we do, it might not be enough. Neuvillette's return has changed everything."

Ajuka folded his arms, his mind clearly racing with strategies. "We need to negotiate. Find a way to show him that we're serious about restoring order. But... it may already be too late for diplomacy."

Serafall, biting her lip, glanced between them. "What if... we can't find the ones responsible in time?"

A heavy silence fell over the room as the weight of her question settled in. Sirzechs finally spoke, his voice low and filled with resolve. "Then we prepare for the worst. But we cannot afford to fail. Not now."

Grayfia finished her work and stepped back, her eyes filled with quiet determination, "Neuvillette's judgment is final. We have 48 hours. Let's not waste them."
