Sweet harmony, everything seemed perfect. The sky was blue, the clouds were white and there was no misplace or odd.
"Cattttt!"
A young girl immediately gasped in fear from her bed. She sighed in distraught, it was too early for her mother to make trouble.
"She's really done it now, I was having a really nice dream. Can't I just have a little space?"
She walked up to a mirror opposite her bed, it was ovally shaped and fixed to the wall. She hissed at her appearance, her eyes bags were more saggy than dew drops. Her black hair looked more like a bush and her pink lips had no trace of moisture. The only thing she loved about herself was her blue eyes.
"Cat Adams! Get here this instant!"
Cat ran as fast as she could, her mother never used her full name unless she really pissed. With the direction of her voice, she was in the living room. She arrived only to meet the devil style eyes of her mother, Monet.
"What is this?" Monet asked stretching a piece of paper to her daughter face.
Cat froze on the spot, it was an acceptance letter to Creative Minds Academy. She was happy that she had passed but at the same scared of her mother's reaction.
"You tell me, you're the one holding it". She was really trying to avoid Monet's question.
Her mother chuckled, she was really holding her temper. If she didn't the whole block would probably be hearing them scream by now.
"Don't act smart with me young lady, I have told you times without number that you can't study art. I want you to be a doctor or a lawyer, anything apart from that rubbish."
Cat clenched her fists in anger, she never thought she was going to get in, but now that she did there was no stoping her.
"It's my life! You already had yours, I know you think being a anime artist is a dirt career. But it's my dream and I'm really good at it, that school is the best Art Highschool in the country. It's my last year, just let me do what I want. If you won't support me, I'll get Daddy".
Monet's face blew red with anger, she ripped the acceptance slip into pieces.
"You're right I won't support you and as long as you live under my roof. Eating the food I hustle to bring to your plate, you will do as I say. How dare try to threaten me with your father, that cheating bastard. Did you already forget how he left us for another woman. You little brat".
Tears fell down Cat's eyes, she couldn't take it anymore.
"Shut up! Dad left you not me, and do you want to know why? It's because you're a annoying stupid, annoying and bossy woman. If I was your husband I would probably leave you too! .... Ouch!"
Monet immediately gave her daughter a tight slap, the tears on the girls face fell faster. Cat ran up to her room while Monet stood motionless trying to recall her previous action. She buried herself in her bedsheets crying an ocean of pain. Not long she wiped her tears and grabbed her phone.
"Hello..... Daddy can you come pick me up?"
