Lysander didn't wait for a second before running upstairs, ignoring how the wood creaked beneath his feet.

Inside, the air was thick with a musty scent, and the faint sound of dripping water echoed through the cavernous space. Dimly lit by flickering fluorescent lights, the vast rooms were cluttered with old crates and discarded machinery, providing ample hiding spots for those who lurked in the shadows. It was indeed a notorious hideout for rogue vampires—those who had turned their backs on the ancient covenants, seeking refuge in the darkness away from the prying eyes of their kind.

Lysander bumped into Alaric who had just walked out of a room.

"I've searched every room, I can't find her," he told Lysander, who angrily punched one of the woods that was holding the building in place.

"Where could they have kept her? I checked all the rooms too," Lysander said, feeling frustrated. "I don't understand, your tech guy said they were here."
