Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

"Hey, look at me," Lysander said in the most gentle tone in order not to frighten her but she just whimpered and shook her head.

"Y…y…you'll hurt me," she added in a shaky voice.

Lysander felt that tug in his chest again as she spoke those words.

Hurt her? He has never thought of hurting her.

"I won't hurt you," he whispered, slowly putting an arm on her shoulder but she jumped back in fright, causing him to retreat the arm.

Lysander who didn't know the words to coax someone, let alone a human stood there in confusion.

Minutes passed and she slowly revealed her tear-stained face.

"Y…you won't hurt me, will you?" She asked him and he shook his head.

"But you're dressed like them," she added pointing to the other vampires out there.

Lysander felt a little hurt and disappointed that she thought he was a bad person just because of the dressed.

"Just because a few apples are bad doesn't mean the whole barrel is a waste," Lysander said, surprising himself. He had never spoken this way before.

'What is she doing to me?' He wondered.

Mia hesitantly nodded before mouthing an apology.

"Did he hurt you?" Lysander asked, checking her for any bruise or something to show that someone touched her.

"No," Mia shook her head and Lysander let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

"Come, let's get you out of here," Lysander said, picking her shopping bags.

Mia tried to get out of the car but her legs felt weak because she was still scared even though the bad people had suddenly disappeared, just like they had appeared.

The driver was thankfully safe and he smiled at Mia reassuringly.

"Sorry I put you through all that," Mia said apologetically.

"There's no need to apologize, we all need to face a thing or two in life sometimes, right?" The driver chuckled.

"But I'll have to pay you."

Mia reached out into her purse and pulled out a two hundred dollar bills, wanting to compensate for the fear and danger he faced.

"I insist," Mia smiled, when she saw that he was about to protest. The driver just took the money and offered to drive her home.

**********

"No need to worry," A voice said making Mia turn to his direction. It was the stranger who had saved her. But what was he saying?

"I'll take her home," he added, his face blank.

'You don't have to,' Mia said, the only problem was that she only said that in her head. She wanted him to take her home because she saw how frightened the bad guys were, when they saw him.

'But who was this guy?'

Mia smiled at the driver and dragged herself out of the car. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she felt herself being hoisted up.

"Ah…." She yelled, taken by surprise.

Startled, she looked up to see the stranger carrying her bridal style. His eyes staring deep at her.

"What a…are you doing?" She stammered, suddenly feeling hot, her heart beating fast.

Mia took in a deep breath, not knowing why she felt shy.

"P…ut me down, I can walked," she spoke but the stranger didn't say a word and started walking , his eyes still fixed on her.

Mia took that time to observe his facial features.

The man who held her was strikingly handsome.

His facial features were striking and captivating. He had high cheekbones that gave his face an angular elegance, and his skin was pale, almost luminescent in the afternoon light. His eyes were a deep, mesmerizing shade of icy blue and a purple ring around it that seemed to glow with an otherworldly intensity, drawing Mia in and making her feel as if he could see right through her soul.

Was that his natural eye color or he was wearing contacts? Mia but curious but felt it was disrespectful to ask him.

His lips were full and perfectly shaped, making Mia wonder how it would feel to kiss them. She quickly scolded herself for having such dirty thoughts.

His dark hair was tousled yet stylish, falling just above his brows and framing his face beautifully. Everything about him exuded an aura of danger and allure, making it impossible for Mia to look away.

He started walking and Mia heart skipped a beat and she wrapped her arms around his neck, he paused his eyes shifting to her for a spilt second before he resumed walking .

Minutes later, he stopped in front of her door and Mia frowned wondering how he got to know she lived . Without a word, he put her down and she unlocked the door, walking in first with him following her.

Mia kept her purse on the desk and turn to see him standing inches away from her.

Her heart skipped a beat and she quickly took a step back.

"You…can put the bag on the counter," she stammered, wondering why he was looking at her like that.

*************

Lysander stood silently by the door, his heart racing by an unknown hunger that was consuming him as he stared at the human who had unknowingly captured his heart.

Every inch of her was a temptation, a siren call he couldn't resist. The way her hair flowed in soft waves down her back, and the rhythmic movements of her hands as she tried to organize her desk.

He could feel the warmth radiating from her, a contrast to the coldness that defined his existence.

He shifted slightly, dragging his feet purposely to gain her attention but she didn't turn.

Unable to hold back any longer, he took a step closer, drawn by an invisible thread of longing.

The air thickened with tension as he inhaled her scent.

Just as he reached out, his fingers barely brushing against her hair, she turned, surprise flashing in her eyes. In that moment he saw a flash of fear and curiosity in her eyes.

"You…can put the bags on the counter," she stammered taking a step back but Lysander didn't say a word. He kept walking towards her as she took steps away from him, but he succeeded in trapping her against the desk.

She tried to escape through his right but he quickly blocked her by holding the edge of the desk. He did same when she tried to use the left.

"You said you weren't going to hurt me," she said, panic spread across her face.

"I'm not going to hurt you," Lysander breathed, brushing the stray hair out of her face.

Her lips parted slightly and she sucked in a deep breath as soon as he touched her. She looked up at him. with confusion and he just smirked.

Holding her waist, he lifted her and place her on the desk. Because this happened without warning, she grabbed his shoulders quickly.

Their eyes locked in an electric moment, and time seemed to have suspended. The confusion in her eyes were still there but he was going to make it disappear in a few minutes.

Moving between her legs,he felt the warmth radiating from her, against his cool skin. The world around them faded, leaving just the two of them. He leaned closer, his breath mingling with hers.

Mia's heart was beating so fast, she felt it would just fall out of her chest. She knew she was confused and scared, but what was the third thing she was feeling? Was it attraction? Why wasn't she pushing him off? Why was she just sitting her, waiting for whatever he was going to do to her.

As he moved between her legs, she felt an extreme desire wash over her, something she has never felt before.

The intensity of his gaze held her captive, and she could tell the weight of the unspoken emotion between them. But why was it so?

Her thoughts shattered into thin air as soon as his lips touched hers, everything was replaced by a whirlwind of desire, desire that was alien to her.

The kiss ignited a fire within her, awakening feelings she didn't even know existed. It was dizzying and electric, taking her breath away and filling her with a sense of longing.

Lysander's brain was clouded with desire as he hungrily claimed her mouth.

A faint smile played on his lips as he realized how inexperienced she was. She didn't even know what she was though even though she was trying desperately. He found himself drawn to her vulnerability and innocence.

"Is this for first time?" He paused and asked her and she looked away shyly whiles nodding.

'Actually this is your second,' Lysander wanted to say but he knew she wouldn't even remember her first.

He just chuckled and leaned in again, feeling the bled of tenderness and passion. The kiss though unpolished was filled with raw emotion and he appreciated the moment so deeply and how authentic it was.

He found himself lost in the sensation of her lips against his, he experienced a mix of exhilaration and warmth, something only her could truly make him feel.

"Lysander?"
