Mia's eyes opened to the soft rays of sunlights streaming through the window. As she lay in bed staring at the window, a sense of peace washed over her. It was unusual; she often woke up from nightmares, where that monster attacked her over and over again. Today, however, there was no dark shadow shadows lurking in her mind.
Instead, she felt warmth envelope her and when she turned her head, she was greeted by a pair of blue orbs with purple rings.
Mia pressed her lips into a thin line, recalling the events from the previous night. She had another episode in the bathroom, and he jumped right into the bathtub, not caring that his clothes will get wet.
She realized that the comfort of his presence had lulled her into a deep sleep, free from the worries that haunted her in her dreams.
