Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Erasing Evil

Dave stood in the dimly lit room, his mind still reeling from the horrific revelations he had uncovered in Keldren's memories. The underground world of human trafficking, abuse, and slavery was far more extensive and vile than he could have imagined. Countless lives had been destroyed, and all for the sake of money, power, and twisted pleasure. The sheer magnitude of suffering was enough to make his blood boil with rage.

"Bella," Dave said, his voice tight and controlled despite the fury simmering beneath the surface, "I need a complete list of everyone involved with Keldren's network. Every single person, from the top dogs down to the lowliest scum who enabled this. I want names, locations, and if there are any superhumans working with them."

Bella's voice hummed softly in his mind. "Already on it, Dave. Analyzing and compiling data now. Give me a few seconds."

True to her word, it wasn't long before a detailed list materialized before Dave's eyes, projected through the system interface. There were dozens of names, each accompanied by detailed information—addresses, roles in the operation, and for those who possessed them, their superhuman abilities and ranks. Dave's eyes narrowed as he focused on the names of the more dangerous individuals.

"There are three superhumans directly connected to Keldren's organization," Bella explained. "First, we have Loxen—Rank B, with the ability of Flame Manipulation. He oversees the northern territories and manages some of the larger human trafficking operations. Next is Ryna—Rank C, known for her Hypnosis ability, which she uses to control and manipulate her captives' minds. Lastly, there's Stryke—Rank A, who can manipulate lightning. He's the most powerful of the group and is responsible for high-profile transactions and ensuring obedience among the captives."

"Where are they now?" Dave asked, his fists clenched tightly at his sides as he struggled to contain his anger.

"I've pinpointed their last known locations," Bella replied. "Loxen is stationed at a fortified compound up north—a place where they keep most of their… 'inventory.' Ryna is hiding out in a remote estate that they use to 'train' their captives. Stryke is currently at a heavily guarded warehouse, likely preparing for a major transaction."

"Good," Dave muttered. "Let's take them all down."

With a thought, he activated his teleportation ability and vanished from the room. In an instant, he reappeared outside the northern compound Bella had mentioned. From the outside, it looked like a typical industrial warehouse, but Dave could sense the presence of numerous guards inside. He could also feel the energy of a powerful superhuman—Loxen.

"Time to pay a visit," Dave murmured, teleporting directly into the center of the compound.

The moment he materialized inside, chaos erupted. Dozens of armed guards turned toward him, their weapons raised in alarm. Loxen, a tall, muscular man with wild red hair and a manic grin, stood at the far end of the room, flames already dancing across his hands.

"Who the hell are you?" Loxen barked, his eyes narrowing as he tried to size up this unexpected intruder.

Dave didn't bother answering. Instead, he teleported directly behind Loxen, delivering a crushing kick infused with teleportation energy. The impact sent Loxen crashing through a wall, leaving a gaping hole in the structure. The guards scrambled, firing their weapons at Dave, but he moved faster than they could react.

With a wave of his hand, he used his matter control to rip the guns from their hands, twisting the metal into useless shapes before flinging it across the room. The guards hesitated, fear spreading through their ranks as they realized they were completely outmatched.

"You have two options," Dave said, his voice calm but deadly. "Run, or die."

That was all it took. The guards dropped their remaining weapons and fled, leaving Dave alone with Loxen, who staggered back to his feet, flames blazing around his body.

"You think you can just walk in here and take me down?" Loxen snarled, sending a torrent of fire hurtling toward Dave.

Dave sidestepped the attack with a quick teleport, reappearing directly above Loxen. He dropped down, delivering a brutal kick to Loxen's shoulder, dislocating it with a sickening crack. Loxen screamed in pain but retaliated with a massive explosion of fire, forcing Dave to teleport away to avoid being incinerated.

"Stay still, damn you!" Loxen roared, his voice echoing through the compound.

But Dave had no intention of playing Loxen's game. He continued teleporting around the room, striking from unexpected angles, using his matter control to hurl heavy objects at Loxen, all while avoiding the scorching flames that lashed out in every direction.

Loxen's frustration mounted as he failed to land a single hit. "What the hell are you?" he demanded, his voice shaking with rage.

Dave teleported directly in front of Loxen, his gaze cold and unflinching. "I'm the one who's going to end this."

With that, Dave unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, each strike infused with teleportation energy that made him seem to be everywhere at once. Loxen staggered back under the onslaught, his flames flickering and dying out as he struggled to defend himself.

"Stop—stop it!" Loxen pleaded, desperation in his voice.

But Dave wasn't about to show mercy. With a final teleport, he appeared behind Loxen and delivered a devastating punch to the back of his head. The force of the blow shattered Loxen's skull and sent his lifeless body hurtling through a tear in space. Dave watched dispassionately as Loxen's body disappeared into the void.

"One down," he murmured, letting out a slow breath as the adrenaline began to fade.

"Good job, Dave," Bella chimed in, her voice light and playful despite the carnage they'd just witnessed. "That was quite the show. Ready for the next one?"

"Yeah," Dave said softly. "Let's move on to Ryna. I'm just getting started."

He teleported out of the ruined compound, leaving behind nothing but destruction and broken chains. The captives would be found soon, freed from their suffering. But for Dave, this was just the beginning of his crusade. He wasn't going to stop until he had wiped every last trace of Keldren's vile network off the face of the earth.

One by one, they would all fall.
