Chapter 44 - Marvel Scientist Becomes God, Ch 39.1

"Jean, please take our new member to rest. I need to have a chat with Dr. Ye," the professor said.

"Okay."

Jean extended her right hand forward, and the Electro-Man lying on the ground lifted off the ground as if by magic.

Telekinesis!

What a marvelous ability. Ye Hai looked at Jean's back with envy; he wished he could have such a power. However, obtaining her blood required Professor X's permission, and stealing it would surely turn him against the mutant academy.

Ye Hai didn't dare to steal it; no one could hide from Professor X's telepathy. Although he had a system that could shield him from the professor's abilities, he knew his friends couldn't do the same.

This feeling of helplessness frustrated him greatly. Yet, he couldn't act rashly. He considered himself not a good person, but he also didn't want to turn into a completely malevolent one.

Ye Hai directed his gaze toward the professor's legs and joked, "Professor, I could inject my regenerative genes into your body, which would allow for a perfect integration. Not only could it restore your legs so you could move freely, but you'd also regain a youthful appearance. How about that?"

Ye Hai anxiously watched the professor, testing the waters. If the professor was willing to accept the treatment, he could obtain Professor X's abilities because the procedure would require taking some of his blood.

The professor's gentle gaze flickered slightly. After a long silence, he replied, "I'm sorry, Dr. Ye. Do you understand my abilities? I can control all of humanity on Earth. My powers are too great and too dangerous for me to entrust to anyone yet."

Clearly, the professor did not yet fully trust Ye Hai, and this disappointment left him with no choice but to back down.

Professor X's abilities were immense; he could radiate his influence across the entire population of Earth using a brainwave amplifier, giving him the potential to eliminate humanity entirely if he wished. Just like in "X-Men: Apocalypse," under Apocalypse's control, he could launch all of the world's nuclear weapons. If he did not destroy the brainwave amplifier in time, the world would face annihilation from nuclear warheads.

With such terrifying power, how could the professor easily give it away?
