A drop of liquid fell on my cheek and jolted me awake. The first thing I recognized was the extremely coldness. Every inch of my body was covered in a blanket of cold air and when my brain registered the feeling my body began to furiously shiver. When I looked around I saw trees, trees and more trees but different kinds of trees. There were shades of blue and violet trees which I know couldn't be found on Earth unless it's an ornament. The grass was also reddish-green to almost fiery red in color.
Where the hell am I? Where did those wierd shifting animals took me?
"Hey you kidnappers, where did you take me? You know this is illegal! Bring me back home at once and I will not tell everyone about you! I promise!" I yelled.
I was seriously getting sick due to the cold. Thankfully, I found a pile of clothes beside me. There was a thick looking long dress and a pair of underwear. I changed into those clothes and felt warmth. It felt so nice.
The back of my head ached and I could sense the bump forming there. When did I bump my head?
How did I sleep through the whole night?
What happened to me—I couldn't even remember. Was I dreaming still? Being in the middle of the odd-color forest-lying here, I pray this is all some horrible nightmare. I recalled memories of the night: there were three men interning in my room and I was carried out of the house. That was all a dream right?
Lucid dreaming--that's what they called it when you are conscious of being asleep. If this really was a dream, my kidnappers were nowhere to be seen. I don't know whether to be thankful, or afraid that he could come out and hurt me. For all I care, I hope they ran off a cliff.
Something rushed behind me. I turned around and paused, stunned.
"Oh boy."
Five feet away was a big black wolf sitting and staring at me. It's long pink wet tongue hanging out its mouth and both rows of sharp teeth point in my direction. It was staring at me. Its blue eyes were so beautiful I could clearly see the pigmentation from the distance between us. They were so expressive and human-like that for a moment, I thought he was going to speak to me.
Wolves talking? What am I thinking?
It shifted, letting me see its entire length. It was freaking humongous. Like the size of a full-grown tiger, which could possibly break me like a tiny twig. Once it has me dead it would use my femur as its toothpick.
Remember this was a dream. I reminded myself. Then why was I cold and shivering?
While I'm lost in thought, the monster takes a step closer. In an instant I hold myself up using my elbows. With my feet and arms, I crawl back in an attempt to inch away from the wild animal.
"Easy there, wolfy," I said
Like a person, it growled at the nickname I gave it and I jolted back in fear. This was a real deal situation. What the hell am I here?
Did I really get carried out of the house by some senile lunatic that wanders into people's rooms in the middle of the night? And they left me here to die?
"Hey you wolfie, you think I'll let you eat me? I'll fight before I give in. Tell that to your friends," I said.
The wolf practically rolled his eyes and started walking in slow circles around me. From the side, I can clearly see the dog is male. Great.
"You're going to eat me? I don't taste that great, not that I've tried."
The wolf barked as if he was commanding me to follow him. He started to walk, which I followed. Maybe I'm really dreaming or perhaps I hit my head harder than I thought. My sanity was dwindling by the minute and for a split second I think maybe I already died.
My kidnappers killed me and this dog is some kind of spirit guide taking me to the gates of heaven.
Wolves really did go to heaven. Huh...
The wolf barks commandingly and that pulls me to my feet ungracefully. I almost stumbled back down. He gave me a look that says, if you run, I'm going to catch you.
I scoff, "Do I look like I have anywhere else to go?"
He shook his head.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him.
If it talked, I wouldn't be surprised--not anymore anyway. I'm officially out of my mind.
He suddenly stopped and I almost ran into him. I look around to see a spectacular waterfall. Blissfully still and silent, I awe at the magnificence, and ignore the wolf.
Below the waterfall, the water looked dark blue. Most-likely, there was a deep underwater current that could pull a person down to their deaths. Like all beautiful things, they hold something so dark and dangerous.
Out of nowhere, I was pushed behind and fell on the water. I struggled har, trying to resurface but to no avail, the long dress was preventing me from emerging from the water. As I finally made it by kicking around and letting my body relax, I finally emerged only to see a man with two ears like a wolf and a tail, smirking down on me.
"Hey lady, you're a participant in a two month-mating game. You will be subjected to the prey of those hungry generals on the planet you are about to go to. Annnd the game will be intense once the generals know what you are. You are very rare, indeed." the strange man before touching my birthmark under my left eye. I felt a faint pain before he pushed me to submerge again.
As I tried to swim up, some force was pushing me down. I struggled hard until I was completely submerged into the water falling deeper and deeper. And lost consciousness after that.
