Frudi and Alex looked up to see Sergio, who was taking a smoke, and had caught them in the act.
Frudi and Alex begged him, like little siblings begging their older sibling to let them go. Sergio looked at them with a mixture of amusement and concern, before finally saying, "You can leave, but be careful, and come back quickly."
Frudi and Alex were overjoyed that they had been let off the hook, and they quickly made their escape.
As they emerged from the cottage, they saw two bikes waiting for them outside.
Alex looked at Frudi, his eyes narrowing in surprise. "Why are there two bikes waiting for us? When did you prepare this?"
Frudi just smiled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Let's just say you came up with a plan, I came up with something else. Just let's take the bikes and go."
They each took a bike, and Frudi's eyes sparkled with excitement as she straddled the powerful machine.
