Agares was someone who didn't like being in the presence of others or having others in his presence unless absolutely necessary. Of course he knew that this way of living, shutting yourself off from people wasn't practical nor was it possible, yet he couldn't help himself.
He had been this way since the moment he was able to perceive other people. He found them to be burdensome, annoying, and unbearable at times. So he had come to enjoy the few moments he could be alone, like on Wednesdays around the afternoon where everyone was busy doing their after school activities or going back to the dorms. He would have the library all to himself since the students usually preferred the bigger library outside of the school. It also helped that he was the student council president, so he was privy to the perks of having every key in the school and was left in charge of locking up.
