Agares turned to look at the woman, a wave of relief rushing over him as he regarded her. He had suspected Julius' mother was being rather cold with him, and was expecting to be ignored all dinner, but he was glad to see she was now paying attention to him. He had hoped to woo and enchant his lover's parents, at least somewhat since he cared about Julius, and didn't want to risk making a bad first impression. He'd even gone to his brother for advice, since he was the master of manipulation. He was good at stealing his composure, and making sure people were comfortable around him.
