Chapter 1: A Ripple in Reality
The sky above New York City was as familiar as it was extraordinary. It was dusk, and the skyline glittered with the reflection of the descending sun. The day seemed like any other until a ripple in the fabric of reality tore through the atmosphere. Unseen by most, except those with a connection to cosmic forces.
On the roof of the Sanctum Sanctorum, Doctor Stephen Strange was meditating, his cloak of levitation fluttering ever so slightly in the autumn breeze. His concentration shattered when he felt the distortion in the multiverse. His eyes snapped open, and the Orb of Agamotto, resting nearby, glowed ominously.
"This... is not normal," Strange muttered to himself.
The ripple wasn't just an anomaly; it was a tear. Someone, or something, was meddling with the multiverse again. And if left unchecked, the entire fabric of reality could unravel.
Down the street, Peter Parker was swinging from building to building, patrolling for his usual petty crimes when his spider-sense exploded in his skull like a jackhammer.
"Whoa!" he yelled, narrowly missing a skyscraper. He landed on a rooftop, gripping his head. "Okay, that's... new."
Across the city, in Avengers Tower, Tony Stark sat in his lab, tinkering with one of his suits. Friday's voice suddenly cut through the room's ambient hum.
"Boss, I'm detecting a significant energy surge across multiple dimensions."
Tony stood up, his brow furrowing. "Run a full diagnostic and prepare the suit," he ordered. "I've got a bad feeling about this."
Meanwhile, far away in Asgard, the god of mischief, Loki, was lounging on a luxurious chaise when he, too, felt the disturbance in the multiverse. His smirk widened, his fingers tracing the edge of his scepter.
"Oh, this could be fun," Loki whispered.
