{1st person view}
As I entered the house carrying Kallen, I took off my shoes and hers before inspecting the entrance to remember where the mini shelf was.
'Ugh, Japanese people and this annoying custom' I thought as I looked around before putting the shoes on a mini shelf that was on the lower right side of the entrance.
After putting the shoes away and removing some dirt stuck to both myself and Kallen, I took her to the living room and laid her down on the couch to get a bandage.
Leaving the living room, I went through the hallway of our house and entered the last room on the left which was the bathroom, our house is average sized with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, kitchen and a small storage room.
Entering the bathroom, I opened some drawers looking for a bandage and something to clean the little blood that had leaked until I heard a scream. "OH MY GOD KALLEN WHAT HAPPENED!! DAMIAAN!!!!!".
I sighed as I grabbed the things I needed and headed to the living room, there I found a young woman with a frown of concern that turned to anger the moment I entered her sight.
The woman's name was Minami Yanagise, she was a woman with a height of 168/ to 170/ with perfectly sized breasts and slightly larger than normal hips, her hair was long and a pasty caramel color with similar colored eyes that were a little unusual for Japanese people but didn't stand out much on her average face.
"Mom, calm down, I can explain" I answered quickly but still calmly. 'Woman, why don't you help the girl before you start complaining to me?'.
"Hmpf!!, you better, young man, because I just finished lunch in a hurry to leave before seeing this scene" she snorted before saying with stiffness and an attempt at authority that only made her seem cute instead of intimidating.
"Well, we're just training like always, but Kallen forgot to pay attention to the ground and slipped and I ended up hitting her forehead with the sword," I lied as naturally as breathing as I went over to the unconscious Kallen and started cleaning her bruised forehead.
The wound was very small, the blood barely came out after a few minutes of the wound being made showing how superficial the cut was, after cleaning it with some alcohol and a small cloth to disinfect, I then put a basic bandage in the shape of an X on her forehead.
"Ahh you're doing it again," my mother sighed before complaining, this was something common in this house, after all our father also didn't approve of us two, 5-year-old children, swinging wooden swords at each other.
"But we won't stop doing this, Kallen and I really like fighting and playing sports, mom," I said in an indifferent voice, and that was true, even before we reincarnated we liked it, although my sister was more active in it than me.
"Even so, we don't like you doing this before you're 8 years old, Ahh at least help me set the table before we talk about it anymore," our mother couldn't help but sigh with regret at making that request.
"Okay."
I answered simply before following my mother to the kitchen, when we got there we divided the plates before each of us took a little to bring to the table.
After setting the table and getting everything ready, I went to the couch in the living room. When I got in front of my sister, I couldn't help but shake my head when I saw that she was drooling with a small lump on her forehead.
Since I didn't want to waste time so that our mother wouldn't get mad, I just shook her a little hard until she woke up and started to get up confused.
"Hmm? Huh?" Kallen grumbled, looking around in confusion. It seemed like she still hadn't recovered from the counter I hit her in the head with earlier.
With this happening I could only take her by the hand and lead her to the table so we could eat, when we got there she had already reoriented herself enough to sit at the table by herself.
"Kallen dear, is everything okay?" Our mother spoke with concern etched on her face and with a frown on her face when she saw a dazed Kallen looking at her plate of food.
"Huh? Oh yes I'm fine mom" hearing the question seemed to wake my sister up completely as she quickly oriented herself before starting to eat quickly.
"So.. your dad won't be able to come this weekend" my mother began with a touch of hesitation in her voice when talking about the subject, she probably thinks we'll be upset about this.
"It's okay mom, dad is busy with work just like uncle Saibai" my sister said as I nodded in agreement with her opinion.
And speaking of which, my dad is American in this life too, although he uses our mother's last name because he doesn't have a very good relationship with his family, he works at a manga company with our neighbor Saibai Yuki.
Although our father is one of the company's editors, he has a little more free time than our neighbor, so even though he works practically like a slave to support us while our mother doesn't go back to work, he still manages to find time to spend with his family.
I really admire him for that, I hoped I could one day be as good a father as him, but I know that would hardly be possible given the situation Kallen and I find ourselves in.
"Mom, I'm going to play with Rito," I told my mother after finishing my food, as soon as I left the table I went to the kitchen to leave the plate before leaving.
Remember when I said I knew some of the worlds that were agreed upon? Well, I realized that the world of To Love is one of them pretty quickly.
Leaving the house for the back garden before approaching the fence that connects our house to Rito's house on the right side, as soon as I got there I went to two boards of the fence that were marked with paint.
As soon as I got in front of these two planks I kicked them lightly in the middle, as soon as I did that the planks lifted slightly before I pushed them and locked them when they were in a horizontal position.
Then I held them in that position while I bent down to pass under them until I reached the garden on the other side, as soon as said garden came into my view I couldn't help but be enchanted like every time I come here.
The garden of Rito's house had a well-trimmed lawn and was decorated with several different flowers with variations of different tones that form beautiful patterns, this garden differed from the original one in the anime because besides being neighbors our families are good friends and my mother has a flower shop.
So whenever she has free time from the customers who come to our house, she teaches Rito about gardening and different types of plants to me. Also, most of the flowers that Rito planted in the garden were gifts that my mother gave him.
"Hey Rito!!" I called the boy as soon as I saw him watering a plant on the porch of his house with little Mikan sitting next to him.
"Ahh! Damiã!" Rito exclaimed as he waved when he saw me coming towards him. I didn't mind him getting my name wrong, after all, he's 5 years old so saying names that are different from Japanese is hard for him.
"How's the garden going?" I asked as soon as I arrived in front of the porch where they were.
"It's growing very well, thank you for asking. Oh, and thank Auntie for the seeds she gave me yesterday," the boy said happily. Rito really becomes a very serious person when it comes to taking care of plants.
After that, we talked a little about random things before we started a kind of tradition of ours. Stories. Whenever I came to talk to Rito, I would tell stories to him and little Mikan, especially to her, so she would fall asleep and Rito and I could "play" tag.
"Umm, last time I told you about King Arthur, right? I guess today I'll talk about Nero." I remember last time I told them about Arthur/Artoria, so today I'll talk about one of my favorite Fate characters, Nero-chan. Although I tend to tell the fantasy version of the stories, I've always made it clear that those stories aren't true, although I doubt Mikan believes that.
So we spent a good half hour sitting on the porch talking, until little Mikan who was sitting between us ended up falling asleep.
"Pfff," I couldn't help but let out a light laugh at how cute she looked, but I still helped Rito put her to bed before we went back to the Garden.
"So Rito, are you prepared to lose today too?" I said in a clearly teasing tone as I crossed my arms and gave him a mocking smile.
"Hmpf, you'll see, I'll be able to win this time," he declared as he slowly walked towards me in a very unique way that I instantly recognized.
"Hahh Kate kuru no Ka? RITO??" I made this reference in a dramatic tone to affirm that I understood the game he was playing, in fact I was the one who had taught him that.
"Ah, you're talking like that again, I know it's from a manga but you never tell me which one," Rito exclaimed as soon as I finished my sentence, and yes, JoJo existed in this world too, but since the internet wasn't as advanced as it was in 2018 and up, most people don't know about these mangas.
"Hehehe, you're still too young to know about this Bizarre world, Rito Shounen " I said trying to sound like an old Chinese sage, although I can actually teach Kung-Fu because of my past life, but it would only be the basics.
"But you're practically the same age as me," Shriek exclaimed in exasperation, which I would have agreed with if we were talking about something else.
"It seems like you want to talk a lot today, huh? But since you're like that, try catching up with me first." I laughed as I threw myself backwards and started running through the garden, avoiding the plants.
"Hey, you!!, you can stop right there." Rito commented loudly as he laughed and started running after me.
I think this is my daily routine to this day, although I can't wait for what's to come.
