Leon chatted with the soldiers a bit, they honestly answered his questions since he had saved their lives by coming to help even though he wasn't obliged to do so.
Leon was still puzzled about the war and everything so he took the chance to ask the soldiers.
The soldiers explained to him that they were search parties in charge of scouting out foreign invaders within the dynasties as well as informing various families about the matter. They had encountered these people on their journey, and a fight had immediately broken out between them, which then rubbed on the group of bandits who were minding their business in their hideout that happened to be close by.
