"How do you feel now?", I asked Haein as we were sitting on a slope under the moonlight, which shone less brightly than the bonfire we had lit in our picnic.
"Good, I suppose", Haein replied in a bland tone, or more like a hint of excitement masked by forced blandness that aimed to conceal the undeniable enjoyment she was getting from it.
I leaned my head on her shoulder, which she didn't shake off.
"I suppose it was all worth it then", I told her.
"I suppose"
"Isn't it beautiful?"
"I suppose"
Whatever she meant by that, she still couldn't take her eyes off the bonfire so yes, I supposed she was alright with it.
"Tell me something though, Yui"
"Yeah?"
"How did you do it last time?"
"The same way as we've done today"
"But that means you needed TWO people to do it"
Well, here we go
"So you knew it but chose not to ask. Then why now?", I asked her back.
"Maybe I didn't want to face it"
