Micheal didn't want to seem like a pervert who would take the slightest opportunity he got to grope a young girl. In fact, he should've thought first before offering to help.
Could he take it back now? He didn't want any trouble.
"What's taking so long?" Alice asked and he looked up at her. "Is it broken?"
"No, that's not it." He said. "I just don't want to make a mistake. So, why don't you put it on yourself?" He asked, handing it back to her and though she couldn't get why he changed his mind so fast, she took it from him and pinned it to her chest.
"There. Not so hard." She said and took his hand, this time taking the initiative to interlock their fingers.
Not that it meant anything to her. She just wanted to hurry up and get in. The more time they wasted, the less time she had to sleep.
"Let's go." She said, and Micheal grinned.
She was ever more interesting, the closer he got to observing her.
