Memories of Alice's past life refused to accompany her normally when she was reborn but they were there, somewhere.

She didn't know why he was in her memories but the fact that he, as well as several other people, bowed at her, thanking her for what she did, only to end up swallowed whole by a demon and right in front of her too. It haunted her.
It haunted her past self. That memory was dreadful.
And even if she did not recall all of it, she could tell from the feelings she has currently that that was a life-changing point in her life.
