I ended up escorting Nia back home and left her with her grandmother's ashes. Yoko then announced to her that she could live here as long as she wanted and that she was now part of the family. Tears welled up in Nia's eyes, which made Yoko cry too. They were tears of joy.

On my way back home, I realized one thing: I had to become much stronger to protect them... and to avenge them. Once I arrived at the manor, I noticed Barrios was already asleep, but Kaiser was missing.

"Where could he have gone at this hour?" I wondered, intrigued. I deployed my seismic sense over a wide area to locate him and perceived him in the middle of the mountains, far from the city.

"What is he doing there?" I said thoughtfully. I activated my ring and tried to reach him, but he didn't answer.
