'Here it is!!!' I thought as I suppressed the urge to let out a grin in front of my soon-to-be father-in-law.
"Uh...what?" Even though I could've agreed to it right away, that would've made him suspect that I might've joined this sect just for that, and it wouldn't do me any good.
"Become my son-in-law by marrying my daughter," he once again said, his tone excited as he looked at me with expectation.
"You didn't have to repeat it... What I'm saying is... Shouldn't you consult with your daughter first? Like, I heard she already has a boyfriend." I said, acting as if I was worried about that boyfriend of hers and valued her opinion.
'Hahaha, I didn't make a bad choice! He already seems so concerned and values my daughter's opinion...' the sect leader thought with a smile.
"Don't worry, if you agree, my daughter will agree to it anyway," the sect leader said as he shrugged it off like it's nothing.
