He missed her—not because he had a habit of prioritizing the new and forgetting the old, but because his time with her had been much shorter compared to the others.
Unlike with Rose, Ross avoided teleporting back and forth, as Emma also lived in Parkland City.
Their proximity meant they would have countless opportunities to grow closer throughout the year.
"So, how was your trip back home? Did you have fun?" Emma asked as they strolled out of a high-class restaurant.
Her arms were wrapped snugly around Ross's right arm, leaving no doubt about the nature of their relationship to anyone who saw them.
"It was just as I expected. I spent time with my parents and even celebrated my birthday there. All in all, it was time well spent," Ross replied casually.
