"Ross," Ayla said hesitantly, her voice soft but steady.
"I don't know how you did it, but thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for healing me. But please… can't you just let me and Kevin go? We've been through enough."
Ross tilted his head, a mocking smile curling his lips.
"A gift given freely is rarely appreciated," he said, his voice dripping with condescension.
"And I am not a man who gives gifts freely. Everything has a price. Nothing in this world comes without a cost."
Ayla's expression fell, her hope dimming at his words.
Ross turned his attention back to Kevin, his gaze predatory.
"So here's the deal, Kevin. Play the game, or forfeit. I don't care which you choose. But know this: if you pick the latter, I won't just keep Jessica. Ayla will be a fine addition to my collection of women as well." His gaze drifted to Ayla, lingering lewdly.
