The group's frantic race through the labyrinthine mansion felt like a cruel game orchestrated by unseen forces. Every breath was ragged, filled with dread as the shadows closed in around them. Alexander led the way, his hand gripping Chloe's tightly as they pushed forward, their fear palpable.
"Where do we go now?" Chloe asked, her voice shaking.
"We just need to keep moving," Alexander replied, though even he wasn't sure how much longer they could evade the horrors chasing them.
Behind them, Jessie's eyes darted around in terror, her mind racing for answers. She stopped suddenly, glancing at the blood-stained names on the walls. It can't just be a coincidence, she thought, her pulse quickening.
"We need to think!" Jessie called out, making the group halt. "There's something we're missing! Why are our names on that wall? This isn't random!"
Nathan, Alexander's best friend, glanced at her, his face pale. "You think this is all some sick game?"
Jessie nodded slowly, her fear blending with frustration. "I don't know what's happening, but we have to figure out the rules or we're not going to make it."
Alexander's eyes flickered with realization. "The names—what if it's a countdown? One by one, we're being picked off."
Ethan, standing beside Nathan, clenched his fists. "Then we're next. We can't just stand here waiting for whatever's coming."
Chloe's grip tightened on Alexander's hand as she whispered, "We need a plan, fast."
Before they could respond, the ground beneath them rumbled violently, and the walls trembled, sending dust raining from the ceiling. The mansion groaned like it was alive, as if reacting to their growing fear.
Suddenly, an ear-splitting crash echoed from the hallway behind them. The grotesque creature—the anaconda with limbs—was back, slithering through the corridor, its malicious eyes glinting in the dim light.
Nathan shoved past the others, grabbing Alexander by the shoulder. "We need to split up. Staying together is what it wants!"
"No!" Chloe cried, her voice cracking. "We can't split up—we don't even know what this thing is!"
Alexander shook his head. "Nathan's right. We'll cover more ground if we split, but we need to be smart about it. Ethan, you and Nathan take Jessie and Isabella to the left wing. Chloe and I will go through the right."
Ethan gave a grim nod, though his eyes lingered on Alexander, concern etched into his features. "We meet back here, no matter what, okay?"
Alexander's jaw tightened. "Yeah. Let's hope we're still in one piece when we do."
With that, the group split into two, rushing in opposite directions as the walls continued to rumble ominously. Alexander and Chloe moved quickly through the right wing, the ancient building groaning with each step they took. They could hear the creature's slithering behind them, growing louder as it pursued their friends.
Chloe's breath was shaky, her hand trembling in Alexander's. "Do you think they'll make it?"
"They will," Alexander said, though the uncertainty in his voice betrayed him. He couldn't shake the feeling that something far worse was waiting for them in this cursed mansion.
As they reached a large door at the end of the hall, Alexander pushed it open, revealing a massive, dimly lit room filled with towering statues. The stone figures loomed over them, casting long shadows across the floor.
"We can hide in here for a bit, catch our breath," Alexander said, pulling Chloe inside and quietly shutting the door behind them.
They leaned against the wall, trying to calm their racing hearts. But as silence settled over the room, something felt off. Alexander glanced around, eyes narrowing as he took in the eerie stillness of the statues.
Then, one of the stone figures moved.
Chloe gasped, clutching Alexander's arm. "Alex, did you see that?"
He nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving the statues. "We're not alone."
As if on cue, the statues began to shift, their heads turning toward Alexander and Chloe. One by one, they stepped down from their pedestals, their stone feet scraping against the floor as they advanced.
"Run!" Alexander shouted, grabbing Chloe's hand and bolting toward the opposite door. But before they could reach it, the statues surrounded them, blocking every possible exit.
Panic surged through Alexander's veins as he pulled Chloe closer, his mind racing for a way out. "We've got to fight them off," he muttered.
Chloe's eyes widened in terror. "With what? They're made of stone!"
Before Alexander could respond, one of the statues raised its arm, its stone fist crashing down toward them. Alexander pushed Chloe out of the way just in time, rolling across the floor as the statue's fist smashed into the ground, sending cracks spider-webbing across the floor.
"Alex!" Chloe cried, scrambling toward him.
He got to his feet, grabbing a broken piece of stone from the ground and hurling it at the nearest statue. It shattered on impact, doing little to slow the advancing figures. We're out of options, he thought desperately.
Just then, a familiar voice echoed from the doorway. "Get down!"
Alexander and Chloe dropped to the floor as Nathan and Ethan burst into the room, armed with makeshift weapons they had scavenged from the mansion.
"We figured you'd need backup," Nathan said with a grim smile, swinging a heavy iron rod at one of the statues, shattering its head in a single blow.
Ethan followed suit, his movements swift and precise as he took out another statue. "We can't stay here long. The creature's still out there, and this place is crawling with traps."
As the last of the statues crumbled, Alexander stood, breathing heavily. "Thanks. We owe you."
Nathan clapped him on the shoulder. "We're not out of this yet. Let's regroup and figure out our next move."
Chloe, still shaken, glanced toward the door. "We need to end this. Whatever game this mansion is playing—it won't stop until we do."
The four of them exchanged determined looks. They had faced horrors unimaginable, but they weren't about to give up. Together, they would find a way out, or die trying but in that process they had an horrifying scream it was coming from downstairs.
Rushing down they met a terrifying scene that shook them the more, it was Henry he was mutilated beyond recognition his eye ball melting off, his nose open wide, his jaw grinded and his bowels open with maggot crawling out.
That moment the twins came and seeing the horrific scene they screamed in agony. But someone voice rang out.
" Wait wasn't he with you two what happened to him." It was Alexander and he was pointing at Both Bella and Oliver who looked stunned.
" Yes you two answer me why is he dead and you both are alive."...
