The deeper Gray ventured into the forest, the more intrigued he became by Jackson Maxwell.

The young man moved like a wraith, his figure a blur as he darted through the towering trees. His movements were deliberate, each step precise as though he had memorized the forest's every nook and cranny. Despite the chaotic energy of the woods, Jackson seemed untouchable, his demeanor calm, his focus unshakable.

Gray couldn't ignore another peculiar detail—Rexton's casual acceptance of Jackson splitting from the group. It was uncharacteristic of the strict Sky Knight to let anyone act on their own, especially in the perilous inner regions.

"I've got to hand it to him," Gray muttered under his breath, his lips curling into a faint smirk. "That kid's got guts."

Beside him, Rose materialized, her ethereal form glowing faintly in the dimming light. Her crimson eyes sparkled with a mix of amusement and warning as she floated alongside him.
