In the midst of the chaos, Lyra caught sight of the burly Abyssian from the earlier meeting. He was cornered, struggling against a few of the radicals. Without thinking, she dashed toward him, deflecting an incoming blow meant for him.
"Stand with us!" she shouted, her voice cutting through the noise. "This isn't the way!"
He hesitated, fear and anger battling within him. But as he looked around at the fighting, he saw that both Celestials and Abyssians were standing side by side, defending not just themselves but the very idea of peace they had fought for.
With a roar, he joined Lyra, swinging his weapon against the radicals. "For unity!" he bellowed, rallying others to his side.
