Chapter 34 - Rest and Recovery

The receptionist finished applauding Kaito's successful quest, and the System spoke up, its voice guiding him. "Kaito, you've done a great job. You've earned some valuable rewards and gained some experience. But now, it's time to rest and recover your energy. You've been pushing yourself hard, and you need to take a break."

Kaito nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He had been feeling tired and hungry, and the thought of rest and food was welcome.

He turned to the receptionist. "Excuse me," he said. "I'm looking for a place to stay for the night. Can you recommend a good inn?"

The receptionist smiled. "Of course, Kaito. There are several inns in the city that are suitable for adventurers like yourself. But I would recommend the Red Griffin Inn. It's a popular choice among adventurers, and it's located in a safe part of the city."

Kaito nodded, grateful for the recommendation. "Thank you," he said. "I'll check it out. And do they have food available?"

The receptionist nodded. "Yes, they have a dining room with a variety of meals available. You can get a hot meal and rest well for the night."

Kaito smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude. "Thank you," he said. "I'll head there now."

The receptionist smiled. "You're welcome, Kaito. And don't forget to rest well. You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow."

Kaito nodded, feeling a sense of determination. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, but first, he needed to get some rest and food.

He walked out of the guild and made his way to the Red Griffin Inn, which was located in a quiet part of the city. The inn was a cozy, two-story building with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Kaito entered the inn and was greeted by the innkeeper, a friendly woman with a warm smile.

"Welcome to the Red Griffin Inn," she said. "How can I help you?"

Kaito smiled. "I'm looking for a room for the night," he said. "I'm an adventurer, and I need a place to rest and recover. And I'd also like to get a hot meal, please."

The innkeeper nodded. "We have a room available," she said. "It's a simple room, but it's clean and comfortable. The fee for the room is 6 coppers coins per night. And for the meal, it's an extra 2 coppers coins . We have a variety of meals available in the dining room. What would you like to eat?"

Kaito thought for a moment. "I'll have whatever is available," he said. "I'm not picky."

The innkeeper smiled. "Excellent," she said. "That will be a total of 8 coppers coins for the night. We accept payment upfront, please."

Kaito nodded and handed over the 8 coppers coins . The innkeeper took the payment and handed him a key. "Here's your room key. You can go up to your room and rest. Your meal will be ready in about 30 minutes. Just come down to the dining room when you're ready."

Kaito followed the innkeeper to his room, which was a cozy, simple space with a comfortable bed and a small table. He felt a sense of relief wash over him as he sat down on the bed, feeling grateful for a place to rest and recover.
