Enzo could only close his eyes tightly as his men once again beat Lily hard. Ever since the woman was interrogated for the first time, Lily had kept her promise to keep her mouth shut without doing anything. The woman only closed her eyes with a calm expression, not even making a sound when the men started beating her again. Enzo's heart felt like it was being squeezed when he saw Lily's eyes like a dead fish when the woman opened them once. Lily had never even begged for water or food when they let her live without all that for several days.
