"Lily, that's the right place, isn't it?"
Enzo pointed to a simple house not far from where Enzo parked the car with a confused expression. Lily looked again at the address listed on the letter and then at the map application on her cellphone before nodding confidently once more.
"Yes, Enzo. That is indeed the place. Well, although that house does not look like... the villa that Victor usually owns."
It was natural for Lily to think so. The house they were headed to was in a rural area far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The simple house was surrounded by a simple garden. Next to the house, there was a stable containing horses and a chained dog.
Mia knew that Victor was not the type of person who liked to keep animals, let alone garden. Mia guessed the house did not belong to Victor, and it brought doubts about the authenticity of Victor's letter back to the surface.
"Let me check it out."
