Anna jumped softly when David suddenly opened the door to her room again without asking permission. Anna watched as the man gave her a gentle smile as David's feet slowly stepped closer to her. David finally stopped walking when his hand could reach Anna's face, who refused to look at him. David didn't mind the small rejection when he suddenly spoke to Anna.
"Do you not care about Kale anymore, Anna?"
When David finally asked, Anna interpreted the words as a clear threat aimed at her alone. The woman clenched her fists tightly as she answered Dominic's question in a stifled voice.
"I... don't have an appetite," she answered briefly. Anna was surprised when David lifted her chin to make her raise her head. David's eyes looked serious as he spoke calmly.
