Chapter 2 - Pokémon: I am Ash Ketchum #2

After a long day of exploring the forest, Ash found himself in front of a group of Pidgeys pecking at the ground, unaware of his presence. His heart raced with excitement as he watched them; he had always wanted to find a rare Pokémon. He decided to scan Pikachu with his Pokédex to ensure it was in top shape before any potential battle. The screen lit up, revealing:

Name: Pikachu

Level: 18

Egg Ability: Static

Moves: Thunder Shock, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Tackle, Thunder Wave, Agility

With Pikachu ready and full of energy, Ash moved closer to the group of Pidgeys. Suddenly, several of them took to the air, startled by his approach, but one Pidgey stayed behind. Ash could hardly believe his eyes; this Pidgey shone with a golden glow. It was a shiny Pidgey!

Without wasting a moment, Ash quickly pulled out his Pokédex and scanned it. The screen illuminated his face with the information:

Name: Pidgey (Shiny)

Level: 15

Egg Ability: Run Away

Moves: Air Slash, Quick Attack, Tornado, Silver Wind, Gust, Feather Dance, Mirror Move

Excitement washed over him; capturing a shiny Pokémon was an achievement that few trainers could claim. "What luck I have!" thought Adrián, who was observing from his mind.

"Pikachu, help me catch that Pidgey!" Ash said, his voice filled with determination.

Pikachu nodded, ready for action. "Let's go, Pikachu! Use Thunder Shock!"

Pikachu launched an electric bolt toward Pidgey, which, with impressive agility, dodged the attack in a swift aerial maneuver. The battle began energetically. Ash knew he needed to be strategic.

"Quick, Pikachu! Use Agility to close the gap!" Ash shouted, and Pikachu increased its speed, running in circles around Pidgey. The Pidgey tried to keep up, but Pikachu was a flash.

"Now, use Thunderbolt!" Ash ordered, his voice resonating with confidence.

Pikachu unleashed a powerful bolt of electricity that struck Pidgey, leaving it dazed. However, Pidgey wasn't ready to give up and counterattacked with a Tornado, creating a whirlwind that surrounded Pikachu. The force of the wind made it stagger.

"Pikachu, hold your ground! Use Volt Tackle!" Ash yelled, his mind focused on victory.

Pikachu wrapped itself in electricity and, with a shout, charged toward Pidgey, breaking through the tornado and hitting it hard. Pidgey fell to the ground, but with fierce determination, it rose and unleashed a Silver Wind, sending a gust of silver powder toward Pikachu.

"Dodge, Pikachu! Use Thunder!" Ash commanded urgently.

Pikachu leaped to the side, avoiding the attack, and with a powerful move, called down a thunderbolt from the sky that struck Pidgey with tremendous force. The Pokémon staggered, unable to continue.

"Now's the time! Poké Ball, go!" Ash exclaimed, throwing the Poké Ball with hope.

The Poké Ball shook a couple of times before stopping, indicating a successful capture. Ash rushed toward the Poké Ball and lifted it proudly, his heart racing with excitement.

"We did it, Pikachu! We caught Pidgey!" Ash shouted, filled with joy.

He knelt down and gave Pikachu a berry as a reward, and Pikachu smiled, happy with the victory and its trainer's recognition.

Ash released his new Pidgey from the Poké Ball and noticed it was a bit hurt from the battle. Quickly, he took out a potion and a berry, giving them to Pidgey to ensure it was okay. "I'll turn you into the strongest Pidgeot that ever existed in this vast world," he promised, brimming with enthusiasm.

Pidgey flapped its wings excitedly, ready to give its all. Ash looked up at the sky and realized that a day had passed since he left Pallet Town. He remembered the attack from the Spearows and how he had fought to push through. Adrián reflected on how things had changed; he had been traveling for a day and still had another to reach Viridian City.

As they walked, Ash spent the rest of the day chatting with Pidgey and Pikachu, strengthening their bond and ensuring they understood his goals and dreams. As night fell, they arrived in Viridian City, and Ash headed to the Pokémon Center.

When he arrived, the place was filled with trainers and Pokémon recharging. Ash approached Nurse Joy and handed over Pidgey and Pikachu. While they waited, he thought about how the story had changed. He hadn't encountered Misty, and he had avoided having his bike destroyed by a rampaging Pikachu. Plus, his Pikachu hadn't come out as battered as before.

After Pidgey and Pikachu were treated, Ash decided it was time to eat. He went to a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a good meal, feeling his energy return. After finishing, he noticed a phone on the wall, so he decided to call Professor Oak.

"Hello, Professor," Ash said when Oak's image appeared on the screen. "I've got a new capture! I found a shiny Pidgey."

"That's incredible, Ash!" the professor exclaimed, surprised. "Shiny Pokémon are very rare. You must take good care of it."

Ash smiled, proud of his achievement. "I will, Professor. I'm determined to make it the best Pidgeot."

"Remember, friendship and training are key," the professor said with a smile. "Don't forget to enjoy every moment."

The conversation continued, filled with excitement and advice, as Ash reflected on his journey so far. He knew many challenges lay ahead, but he was ready to face them alongside Pikachu and his new companion Pidgey.

Ash's story was just beginning, and with each step he took, he felt closer to becoming a great Pokémon Master. But this adventure was far from over, and new encounters and challenges awaited him on the road ahead.
