Zane's footprints are slowly covered up by the thick snow, as it grows larger, so does the Snowgeezer.. And Zane knew this..
His gun was holsted underneath his armpit, as his finger slowly hovers over the trigger, his other hand grips heavily onto the front part of the gun.
Zane's eyes seem to be sharp, as he glances through the snow, which makes up a thick fog the closer Zane gets towards the Snowgeezer..
Next to Zane stood two Wolves, one by his left, and the other by his right.. they both have there eyes and noses twitching as they hunt after the Snowgeezer..
As Zane's hunt seemed to be going well, as he was nearing up onto the Snowgeezer's weak point.. in a sudden the humongous Snowgeezer roars, as everything around Zane begins to shake, branches and various twigs come splashing towards Zane, and as he covers his eyes, one of the wolves, Snowy on the left suddenly gets stabbed by one unfortunate twig, and due to it's natural instincts it howled from the immediate shock of pain..
'Snowy!' shouts Zane, as he attempts to cover Snowy, as his large puffer deflects the small twigs.. Drak begins to launch Infront of Zane, seemingly trying to cover him too...
As the rumbling stops, Zane wastes no time and rushes towards Snowy, and as he tries to cover her wound, Drak begins to howl too.. was he hit? Zane turns back around, but to his dismay, the Snowgeezer was now heading towards Zane..
But Zane, taking after his brother had not given Up, as he assessed the area, he looks behind the wide Snowgeezer, there lay a young boy, whom was covered in blood, that sank through the snow.. Zane, uncontrollablely had a sudden flashback from the day he appeared in this world.. but like his brother, he wiped that emotion away, knowing that there is a child's life in danger, he knew he had to win, or die trying.
Zane had no time to wonder what may have caused it's outrage, and sudden turn in target.. as usually a Snowgeezer requires precision and patience, as usually it's blind spot was at its back, which was covered by sharp spikes, in order to kill it, you'd first have to destroy it's defence (spikes) and then destroy the small skin patch, where it's hidden kill-spot is. Usually you'd need to do this almost instantly, as while the Snowgeezer may be big, it is very smart in defence, and could easily predict your moves..
Knowing this, Zane now has to make a quick decision.. knowing that one of his wolves are injured, he had to deal with only having one partner, but for Zane the ice cold hunter.. he knows that even if he dies.. the young boy will live.. So with his plan in set, he calls out Drak, who instantly responds to his calling.. 'distract the Snowgeezer, reveal it's blind spot!' Usually this wouldn't work, but as Snowgeezer has terrible eyesight, as long as Zane stays hidden, the Snowgeezer will not be able to detect him, and that's when he strikes.
As Dark rushes towards the Snowgeezer, it's body almost flows like liquid, as he glides left to right, attempting to distract the Snowgeezer.. as it follows Drak, it's back is revealed towards Zane, and without a second thought..
BANG!
The entirety of its ice shards suddenly shatter, revealing a small patch at the part of its back, where it's fur hadn't covered. That's it's kill-spot.
While Zane's first half of the plan had worked, his second part was much harder, as usually once the shards had been broken by him, one of his wolves would strike his spot, but due to one distracting it, and the other injured, it was going to be difficult to kill it.
Zane reloads his gun, before attempting another shot, this time relying on luck. But luck failed him, as the Snowgeezer blocks his shot with the thick fur of his arm. His shot only servering some of his fur.
But due to it's immense defence IQ, it notices Drak charging in for an attack, and in a snap, it swings it's large arms towards it, knocking it back while it was mid-jump.
'Drak!' shouts Zane, whom has covered Snowy's wound, in a flash he gets up and starts to rush the Snowgeezer, in hopes of it not killing Drak.
He aims his gun, which wobbles under his fast-moving body, before it's quickly held steady, as Zane slides down towards the snow, before quickly asserting a stance, and shooting the corner of the eye of the Snowgeezer..
'RAWWWWWW!!'
It screams, and right before it finished off Drak, it turns towards Zane, whom is standing up on his feet, staring down the monster, his fear being shielded by his cold side..
He holds his gun steadily, before reloading it, and aiming it towards the terrifying beast head on. BANG! Nothing. The bullet almost seems to rebound off of the raging monster. As it rushes towards Zane, he stays calm, and as the monster lunges forwards, Zane, almost completely smoothly slides under his legs, where it's blind spot is. As the snow launches into the air from the monsters strong slam, he quickly assumes the same stance, before reloading his gun again, and shooting towards the monster's kill-spot..
As it seemed like the monster was about to meet its end, the shard's of ice begin to regrow, and in the nick of time it regrows it's sharp shards of ice on its back. CRASH!..
The ice once again shatters, revealing it's kill-spot once again. Zane was too slow. Drak, who has managed to recover, rushes towards Zane, before standing Infront of him, assuming an offensive stance..
The Snowgeezer reaches out it's arm, which is covered in it's thick fur, and multiple spikes, that could pierce anything.. CRASH! The Snowgeezer slams down towards Zane and Drak, but due to there experience manage to dodge out of the way, due to it's lack of speed.
Zane shoots once again, managing to pierce the top of the shoulder, along with parts of its neck. Zane shows clear experience in these situations, as every bullet he has shot seems to pierce areas where it's thick fur seems to be gone...
It once again shakes everything around it as it screams in agony. While it may seem that way Atleast. As Zane and Drak are now closer towards it, they too get hit by the sudden scream, sending them flying. The Snowgeezer then reaches it's left arm out, before swiping horizontaly towards Drak and Zane..
BAM! Both Zane and Drak go flying towards an incoming tree.. CRASH! While Zane managed to evade the tree, Drak gets pounded into it in the process, and breathlessly let's out one last howl...
'Drak! No!' shouts Zane, who is slowly crouching upwards, while holding down onto his now-broken ribs, before spitting out blood, before wiping it off his mouth and standing upright, still wobbly from the hit...
As the Snowgeezer waists no time attempting to kill Zane, it slams down towards him, but Zane manages to slightly dash away, being blasted towards the young boy in the process..
There he lie, reaching out his hand, in hopes of reaching for the boy.. but as he reached out, to his dismay it almost seemed like the boy grew further and further away, and as everything around him seemed to shake, and go in four directions, his sudden trance is broken from the loud footsteps from the monster.. turns out he didn't fly far at all, and the Snowgeezer was only one blow away from killing him.. as it reached out it's arm, for one final blow.. his past suddenly swept away from his mind, as his eyes ones again became focused.
'I'm my brother, but I'm also me..' the young boy seems to fade in existence, and instead lay a new young boy.. it was Zane.. on the day he had awoken.. this illusion seems to push him forward, as he grabs the snow, which assists him in holstering himself back up.. as one hand is placed on his rib, and his gun nowhere to be seen, the only way to beat the monster.. is to run. So that's what he did. He begins to rush over to the kid, in hopes of saving him, his eyes begin to ache through the immense snow, and as everything begins to turn upsidown, he still instinctively pushes forwards, but sadly due to his injuries he isn't fast enough, as while he may have been ahead of the monster.. it wasn't long until it caught up..
CRASH! There Zane was, in the air, his vision began to grow smaller, but yet he managed to regain himself, as he skids onto the snow from the impact, before quickly regaining his speed.. while his head may have been injured, he still rushes towards the kid.. before...
BASH! Again the Snowgeezer smashes into the ground, sending Zane once again forwards towards the boy.. this time injuring his leg.. but yet he still rushes forwards..
CRASH! CRUSH! BANG! SCRUNCH!
The sounds of Zane's bones breaking seemed to be louder than the monster's blows, as his distorted body still pushed forwards.. his eyes seem to be filled up with bruises, and his jaw seems to hang on for it's life, as all of his limbs seem to turn and twist in different directions.. as Zane begins to crawl with his broken hands, even with some of his fingers missing, he still pushes forwards, crawling slowly, it was over.
The Snowgeezer reaches it's arm high, before dropping it down one last time...
