Chereads / Mr. Wayne And ME [BL] / Chapter 33 - A Butler's Dilemma

Chapter 33 - A Butler's Dilemma

The next day, when Avery woke up, he felt the exhaustion in his body and couldn't help but regret his impulsiveness from the previous night—though not entirely. After all, not everyone could give him such a wild experience, and as a normal adult male, he had his needs.

However...

Supporting his sore waist, he thought with a blank expression, maybe next time he should tie Bruce up and be the one on top?

As if sensing this mischievous thought, the person sleeping beside him suddenly took a deep breath and opened his eyes. Bruce's gaze, still a bit hazy from just waking up, quickly cleared. He rolled over, pulling Avery into his arms, resting his chin on the top of Avery's head. Under the blanket, their bodies, still bare, pressed intimately together.

The curtains weren't fully closed, allowing thin rays of sunlight to spill through the gaps, casting a warm glow across the room. In the serene bedroom, the two of them embraced, quietly savoring the moment of peace.

After a brief silence, Avery suddenly let out a sigh and made an accusatory comment: "You've corrupted me."

Bruce, confused, asked, "What?"

Avery lifted his head and looked at him. "This is the first time I've slept through the day until nearly sunset." The thought of it made him feel disgusted with himself—it was simply too indulgent. He had never experienced such laziness before, and the idea of it was unbearable.

Avery, who had never slept this late, felt utterly out of sorts.

Bruce chuckled. "I promise, it won't be the last time."

Hearing this, Avery's patience snapped. He shoved Bruce aside firmly and, with a slight stumble, made his way toward the bathroom.

Ignoring the heated gaze following him, Avery slammed the door shut behind him and locked it, turning on the faucet to wash himself.

But the skin that had been so thoroughly explored by Bruce last night was overly sensitive. The sensation of the water hitting him caused a tingling sensation, leaving his legs weak. If he hadn't grabbed onto the bathroom wall in time, he would likely have collapsed to the floor.

Damn it!

Avery cursed internally, feeling a surge of irritation. He was still a man after all, and not only had he lost to Bruce in strength, but also...

Just as he was cursing his situation, the door suddenly opened.

Avery, shocked and drenched under the spray of the shower, turned his head in disbelief. "Did you just pick the lock!?"

Bruce who are smiling without the slightest hint of shame, replied, "Let's shower together."

Avery wanted to glare at him, but with Bruce standing behind him and pressing him against the wall, he had no choice but to helplessly accept the situation.

The water cascaded down from above, sliding over their bodies and pooling at their feet. In the haze of steam, a sudden movement made Avery tilt his long neck back involuntarily, a soft moan escaping his lips before all sound was silenced…

Time passed in a heated rush.

An hour later, Bruce who is thoroughly satisfied, carried the limp Avery back to the bed and carefully tucking him under the covers.

The bedsheets had already been changed before Bruce had entered the bathroom, a clear indication that he already planned all of this. But Avery was too tired to care about that now. He could only reflect on how simple-minded he had been—he had flirted without thinking through the consequences.

If things kept going like this, he thought with dismay, he might as well give up his job as a butler altogether.

"I'll make us something to eat," Bruce said, sitting by the bed and looking at Avery with an unusual show of tenderness.

Avery opened his eyes at the comment, his disdain clear as he made no effort to hide it. "Can you even cook something edible?"

Considering Bruce's kitchen skills, Avery figured he'd be lucky if the kitchen didn't explode. It was probably best if Bruce stayed out of the way.

Bruce was momentarily speechless, unable to come up with a retort.

After finishing his comment, Avery extended his hand and conjured a bottle of restorative potion out of thin air. Before drinking it, he hesitated slightly, feeling that using such a potion for this purpose was a waste. However, the thought of not wanting to lie in bed all day in a mess ultimately won out. So, he downed the potion in one gulp, instantly feeling rejuvenated.

Avery then snapped his fingers, and in an instant, his clothes appeared neatly arranged on his body.

Bruce, watching from the side, raised an eyebrow, a bit surprised to witness this kind of "one-click dressing" for the first time.

After everything was done, Avery didn't even glance at his employer and childhood friend. He simply sat up from the bed, turned around and left the room.

Gently closing the door behind him, Avery let out a breath, one he didn't even realize he had been holding. Composing himself, he walked down the long hallway toward the stairs.

The staircase still bore traces of the wildness from the night before, and when he reached the ground floor, the carpet in front of the sofa was in a deplorable state. The coffee table was askew, and the sofa was covered with a chaotic pile of clothes.

Avery's cheeks flushed as he quickly averted his gaze, embarrassed by the sight. With a casual wave of his hand, he cast another spell, and suddenly the entire manor came to life.

The carpet and clothes flew on their own into the washing machine, which then closed its door and pressed the wash button, even adding detergent. The sofa and coffee table righted themselves, while the dirt and stains vanished, sweeping themselves into oblivion.

In the midst of all this, Avery's sharp eyes caught sight of a personal item among the pile of clothes—an intimate piece of clothing embroidered with a name. He froze in shock for a moment.
