Naruto lay in bed, restrained, likely because of the seal. That must have been why he couldn't move. As he started to wake up, his eyes shot open, taking in the white surroundings. "Damn… I'm in a hospital," he muttered. If there was one thing the village knew, it was that Naruto Uzumaki hated hospitals.

Contrary to popular belief, Naruto's disdain for hospitals wasn't just boredom or discomfort. It stemmed from old memories—memories of when he was beaten up by the villagers and left alone. No one cared for him back then, except for the Third Hokage, who visited occasionally. But being in the hospital always brought back those painful thoughts, memories he didn't want to revisit.

Naruto shook his head, trying to push the thoughts away. He looked around and noticed there were no flowers or gifts by his bedside. He sighed. "Well, I guess that's not surprising. But still... with Kakashi-sensei, Tsunade-baachan, and my friends, you'd think someone would have brought something."

Just as he was reflecting on that, the door opened, and a nurse walked in. She didn't even glance at him at first, focused on the papers she was holding. When she did look up and see Naruto, her eyes widened momentarily before they quickly narrowed into a glare that shocked him. It had been a while since someone looked at him with such hatred, especially after he became a shinobi.

But this glare felt different. It wasn't just cold; it was filled with an intense, seething resentment.

Before Naruto could say anything, the nurse spoke, her tone curt and unfriendly. "So, you're finally awake, huh? I'll inform the Hokage." Without another word, she turned and walked out, throwing one last cold look his way.

Naruto stared after her, confused. "What was that about?" he wondered. He hadn't experienced that kind of hostility in a long time. Shrugging it off, he turned to look out the window, deep in thought.

A short while later, the door burst open again, and Naruto's heart leapt in anticipation. Finally, someone had come to see him. He hadn't been forgotten.

Standing in the doorway was the one person he had been hoping to see—Sakura-chan. Naruto's face broke into a grin as he greeted her.

"Hey, Sakura-chan, guess what? I've fulfilled my promise. I brought Sasuke—" but before he could complete the sentence, a slap echoed through the entire room. Naruto's eyes widened, his face stinging from the slap that Sakura had just delivered. For a moment, he tried to understand what he had done wrong, confused as to why Sakura was reacting this way. He looked at her, surprise written all over his face, and managed to say, "What? But—" before Sakura interrupted him.

"How could you? How could you hurt Sasuke like that? I told you to bring him back to me, not half dead! Do you have any idea how broken he actually is? He has two broken ribs, damn it, because of you!" she shouted.

Naruto's eyes widened again. "Two broken ribs? But that's nothing. He's had worse injuries in casual training..." Naruto stammered, trying to explain. "I tried to talk to him... I didn't want to hurt him... he attacked—" Before he could finish, another slap rang out.

"How could you blame him for anything?" Sakura snapped. "He was controlled by the curse mark from Orochimaru, and you're just trying to put the blame on him! How could you, Naruto? My mom was right—you're nothing but a monster!" After saying that, she stormed off.

Naruto was left in shock, trying to make sense of the whole encounter. Tears began to roll freely from his eyes as he desperately tried to think of something, anything. A while later, the door opened again, and his friends started to come in one by one, but to his disappointment, they didn't bring the comfort he had hoped for.
